If you watch her mom's interactions with the dad in private, it's obvious that she loves her.I think she treats Yang Yang differently is because she has a different personality. I think CSS'S personality is more like her moms and mom sees that, so she feels that she (wrongly) has to be strict. She's used to commanding soldiers in battle, not a 15 yr old girl.
