No. But what a sweet character! He falls for Haishi and she's oblivious. She's only got her heart set on FJM. There are three couples...Haishi and FJM (ML), Emperor (2nd ML) and Tilan, then Zhouing (3rd ML) and his cute embroidery maid.

I wondered about that. It seemed to me that there was "electricity" so to speak when he was steadying her wounded arm with his, and of course standing behind her that closely. He was probably feeling her up close and personal.lol..for the 1st time, (as a man, not her shifu) other than when he changed her clothes after she was poisoned during the imperial testing, and I think that was the shifu part of him, not as a man. If that makes sense.

Definitely happy ending for 2 of 3 couples.
Leyan falls in love with Hao Du and marries him, making him consort prince.
Channge and Sun end up together in the grassland.
Sun and Shar make piece.
However, Mujin ends up alone because Mimi is shot with an arrow and dies.

Me too! I love that good old Shifu and Haishi developed ROMANTIC feelings for each other. I think she had kind of an adoration / rescuertype of crush for him almost as soon as she became his disciple because he had saved her and then of course it grew into love.FJM on the other hand, I'm not sure exactly when he started to develope those kind of feelings for her.When she got poisoned during the last stage of the imperial testing he was hesitant to pull down the shoulder of her shirt to suck out the poison.However, in the next scene she's in clean dry clothes and she even asks him about it. Now considering the fact that she's been living as a boy for years and we never see any females there, who got her undressed and into some clean warm clothes?FJM? It's just something that I have been curious about.

I never thought about that! You're right! Tilan is going to give birth soon to the possible crown prince. Why didn't she have better security? But remember, the ones who came for her were trusted men.

Right! I thought he was so awesome when she was posing as Tidi and he was "taken" prisoner.
Also when he gave back the gold bribe. His wave totally made me laugh!
