Apart the scenes where the characters are walking alone or the scenes that look like someone is watching them from behind makes me not scared or nervous (don't know if I should be happy or sad about this) everything is fine. I'm still waiting for my favorite writer to unfold her amazing plot twists
How I wish Kim Won Suk (the director of Signal, My Mister, Arthdal Chronicles) directed this drama too. So sad,…
I feel some scenes are a bit exaggerated. I wish the director would be Kim Won Suk too. I love most of the dramas he directs. But still looking forward to it anyway
She is cute (too cute for the part maybe) but not a very good actress so far. She is a young idol trying an actress…
Yes, she's pretty. But I get bored with scenes with her grandmother or scenes with the young Seung Wook because her face has no emotion. I hope she will act better in Jirisan.
Jirisan has a very good start, it is so beautiful and full of nature scenes. Jun Ji Hyun's so cool in the climbing suit, she looks sporty. 10 for episode 1
You meant the Hong Kong's Legend of Condor Heroes ones?
I rarely watch Hong Kong dramas, the only one I watched is Condor Heroes movie that Louis Koo played. Some of my favorite dramas are Demi Gods & Semi Devils 2003, The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber 2002, Detective Di Ren 2004, Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio, Flirting Scholar etc. I still enjoy watching it from time to time. Those dramas have good plots and soulful characters. I was able to find that feeling again after watching Nirvana in Fire.
When I was young, I really liked Chinese historical films, they were very neat and sophisticated, especially the works adapted from Jin Yong's stories. But since they abused the green screen on filming and bad martial arts, I gave up. But then I read Nirvana in Fire novel and was looking forward to this movie, it's a masterpiece, brings me back to the golden age of Chinese historical drama. and Hu Ge excelled in bringing the character Mei Chang Su to real life.
Can anyone tell me if the violence scene of this drama is too scary? I mean scenes like hammering, cutting hands, feet, blood are shown in detail. Thanks so much
Definitely watch this drama. I love Jang Hyuk and also like Kang Han Na, she's so pretty, her acting is good too, it's surprising that she keeps playing supporting roles for so long
Thank to my nearsighted eyes, I overcame the fear. When I saw zombies eating people, it took me a while to realize that their intestines were coming out, and I said to myself, it's too late to cover my eyes or turn away, so I thought "fake, fake, that gut is fake". And after watching it, I think I've reached a new level as a horror drama audience.
Nooooooohhh, what happened to your script-choices Do-Hyuna? Don't be a sell-out please! T_T You don't need KES…
I don't like the writer, but I think he will have more opportunities after this drama (just see that this is a mystery not romance drama). For example, Gong Yoo, Joo Ji Hoon, Park Seo Joon, Kang Ha Neul, Song Joong Ki etc. they all worked in one or more idol-type dramas, but they still have lot of difficult roles, I think with his talent he will develop in a better direction.
But I got your concern. I used to be worried with my bias actress since she turned to staring in dramas (most of these become popular). Of course I was excited at first. But then I found her acting is lack of color than before because she keeps acting safe roles. Now, I'm glad that she choose a promising movie.
Exactly the kind of historical drama that I love to watch. And the cast is all the best. I give the highest score I can. Thank Bae Doo Na unnie, because I liked her so much after Secret Forest that I was brave enough to watch this movie. Kim Sung Gyu is a good actor, his action scenes are so cool 😘. I think if you can watch Train to Busan, you can watch this drama too
