Honestly what's even a revenge kdrama without betrayal? If the protagonist is going hit to rock bottom betrayed…
Yes, we all are. The first episode was meant for us to understand and root for Dong Ju.
I feel people are missing the point that it's just a glance at the characters. We will get to know them better moving forward. Then the judgments of them being good or bad should come followed by what they deserve and what not and how satisfying it all was. At this point I'm babbling, I hope you get what I'm trying to say
It’s crazy how early people are jumping to conclusions, especially since we’re only in the first episode.…
Honestly what's even a revenge kdrama without betrayal? If the protagonist is going hit to rock bottom betrayed from all edges for the series to be a thrilling ride of revenge, I'm all in.
The first episode gave so little about these characters yet they don't feel paper thin. That's a win to be fair. I don't enjoy makjangs much but this one is intriguing
If A Male Lead did the same thing with female lead by using her for revenge you nasty people's would hate him…
Legally no! Morally yes I believe it is. And in real life we can get by cutting people like them off. But dear, this is drama. And when ML would use FL for his own revenge, things are going to get heated. With lines blurred, morals greyed, motivations stronger! This was the juxtaposition I was talking about.

I'm curious where did you find me justifying using someone for revenge? Actions have repercussions and that's what 16 episodes are for! Honestly that's where characterisation and themes come into play.
Dude how did you arrived at the conclusion that you did, from my statement is beyond me.
But if you feel the need to attack me just for my gender then that's a you problem not me. Have a great day ahead though!
With so kdramas under my belt, I know the series is going to give us the reason for FL's betrayal. But I hope it's not because 'she was pressured and had no other choice'.
I think revenging her father being her motivation would make it more compelling atleast for me personally. First it gives so much room for growth. And second it would create an exciting juxtaposition once our ML starts his revenge.
Either way, the FL looks so natural and comfortable in front of the camera plus it's always a delight to have PHS on my screen. Can't wait for the next episode
I believe that well-executed romantic subplots can significantly enhance thriller dramas, rather than detracting…
Yes! So rightly said. But along with execution the romance also needs to resonate with people for them to appreciate it.
I always love it when the romance drives a character through emotional growth, case in point Tunnel or when it is integral to who they are as people like Happiness!
Love Scout was pushed back by a week due to some kind of Lunar holiday that they celebrate in Korea, resulting in Buried Hearts being pushed back too!!
TBH this sounds like a more polished The Impossible Heir (with extra steps), at least according to the synopsis.…
Now that I think about it the two dramas do sound similar, which is bad because I really didn't enjoy Impossible heir. I haven't seen anything of the screenwriter before so it's kind of hard to know what to expect. But I find most of PHS script choices interesting, so I will bet on that.
I did enjoy the first season. But oddly enough I don't find myself to be excited for the second season. One of the charms of kdramas, atleast for me, is the single seasoned format.
A love story for her character would be great!!
