Well both yes and no. Apart from the characters, the setting the storyline everything is new. So it's easy to catch up and enjoy especially if you are familiar with gumiho and other mythical beings.
However one of the recurring theme of the drama is choice and its consequences. Most important of it being Yeon's choice of deserting everything and wait for Ah Reum. So ig you need to at least have an idea of what happened in S1
