Yeah, some parts of the desert scene did look fake, but it didn't bother me too much. Also, I did find the voice dubbing good! Maybe it's also because, before it aired, I kept my expectations low for this part of the drama since CZY couldn't do it due to scheduling issues. But overall, the drama seems great so far in my opinion. I actually rather have a hard time waiting for the next episodes lol

The pacing is not too slow, not too fast, I think, and I love the acting!!
I know many c-dramas used to stick to around 2 episodes a day, but noticed they're releasing 1 ep a day with many recent dramas.

I second this! It's rare to see a drama that doesn't start off boring. Every drama, including this one, may have flaws, but I think it's worth it to give it a go.

I don't remember from the novel that there was any harem involved. Politics is the central problem, not the harems. The ML only loves the FL.

The ending theme music suits the drama very well. Hope they release the music soon!

I think it will definitely go higher. It's already impressive how both main leads drew viewers to this drama solely through their acting despite having only a few prior promotions.

It's been a long time since I read the novel, but I don’t remember that the novel has the same dramatic wedding stabbing scene that people are talking about from the trailer. That seems like a drama adaptation scene? The novel’s direction is that Ying Gua openly loves her and even plans to change the inner court/empress-selection system for her (and I hope it goes in that direction, though I understand there can be changes made while making the novel into a drama).
