Personally I think ZLH will prove himself to be the lead heās meant to be. His character will have to develop…
I wonder what SGQ had to do to be a Mei, her skills in comparison are by far as close to what YWS's are. haha. Except for the fact that YWS seems to always be getting deadlocked in that one fight pose by the neck. LOL
Definitely. It's sitting really high on my list at the moment. I can't remember the last Chinese drama that's made me feel this way. But then again, there's been so many this year so far, I might have to dig in the past again lol
I think You misunderstood, no one is questioning Zhang Linghe and his acting, we are all discussing the character…
Definitely not misunderstanding, I've read some comments in the past that had discussed that he shouldn't have been casted as the male lead and his comparison roles in other dramas. That was more my point.
But agreed! The roles and actors are completely different and that's probably the role he was asked to play and unfortunately it makes it out as if he's been casted into a shit character.
But I'm definitely on his side, I'm most excited to see how his character will develop. I'm 100% positive we'll be blown away.
Edit* Well for those not pleased with Zhang Ling He in this role (me at times included), I highly doubt these casting directors are a bit clueless. He's yet to come out as another main lead in Story of Kuning Palace with Bai Lu at that. I'm actually most excited about this show too.
So, clearly he must be doing something right in the industry? LOL I think personally the broodiness of SJ is appealing to most and he's got that sexy/illusive vibe, but all I'm saying is, there must be a reason for his casting. So let's not judge so quickly. But 100% they could have improved in his scriptwriting a bit and not make him sound like he's still in his childish ways.
He (his character) will probably surprise us later. HAVE FAITH.
SJ still doesn't believe SGQ but unfortunately he likes her, in fact he has warned her more than once not to take…
You can tell he had a moment of hesitation with YWS and LW's explanation in the latest episode. I think he's learning that there's more than meets the surface, but like SJ, he's getting clouded by is emotions and as a character, I think it was well known and mentioned by many others like Jin Fan and all that he's just too nice of a person. So he's easily manipulated.
Personally I think ZLH will prove himself to be the lead heās meant to be. His character will have to develop…
I reckon YWS is not a chi and she's meant to be someone a lot higher. Something in my gut tells me we're all going to be dumbfounded at the ending and be surprised at all the clues unfolding. haha. I'm just waiting to be shocked at this point. š
He has all the reason to be petty. Why do you all keep forgetting that his cousins weren't nice to him. They called…
100%. His tone still sounds childish at times but I am certain heāll prove himself sooner enough. There are worst characters and worst male leads out there. This isnāt one of them. š at least to me.
and the fact that we're all hating him atm might actually be what the director had intended for us to feel so we'll be amazed later on..who knows? haha.
But how corm they tortured her soo badly? And he just stood there?
He has to. Heās still in charge of the investigation and heās got a rep to uphold. He said so himself, he wouldnāt show mercy. But I think he caved cause of obv reasons.
I reckon he still canāt 100% trust her which is why he wonāt conform out of his old ways just yet just for her, but in the recent upcoming trailers, heās learning to.
GSJ: Believe SGQ's lies even though...he shouldn't. Focused on becoming SW instead of uniting to fight the threat…
Iām still rooting that ZS is the mastermind of it all. š what a flip of events that would be. I highly doubt ZY and SJ are on the same side. But if itās a happy ending, then you might see them reconciling for the greater good eventually or hopefully. There are snippets of what looks to be Wu feng fighting with the gong clan in some of these trailers, so I think theyāll have to show their intentions then, itās either with or without each other.
The episodes become even more slower. I think Zhang Ling He shouldn't have so many lead roles anymore. I'm very…
Personally I think ZLH will prove himself to be the lead heās meant to be. His character will have to develop eventually. But I agree, his tone still comes off childish especially when talking to SJ. His latest fight scenes do shed him some new light though. But thatās coupled by a good choreographer and director.
As for Esther, I was the reverse. I disliked that all she ever did was cute roles. Itās a bit like Ju Jing Yi and how sheās always in the same looking costume dramas, after a while you know what to expect. If you watched some of the BTS and Estherās vlogs she explains how hard some of the scenes were to film but she wanted to do them. To them it must be challenging, which helps their career. And I think sheās pulling it off rather well. Sheās cunning in this show and her fight scenes have been impressive. I think give a girl where credit is due. Sheās wanting to step outside her comfort zone. She knows sheās cute, but imagine if thatās all sheās ever known for.. how belittling for a girl.
On one hand, Iām glad this will be over by next week. I havenāt been able to focus on a lot of things properly because of this šš but on the other, really sad cause Iāve been enjoying how this show has been playing out.
I think thatās Jin fan. It would correspond with the main trailer where Zi Shang is crying over his body screaming his name judging by the background of the bamboo forest

But thatās just my two centsā¦
