Didn't think I'd finish this. It was complete torture. I didn't think I'd watch a series more worse written than Reloved but here we are haha.

Because I didn't enjoy it nor did it keep my interest. I watched it around the time it was released so my score isn't to be compared with those from 2025 etc.

7 for me is decent. 6 okay. 5 meh etc.

How is the rating so high? 7 for me is above average. How has this got 7.1??

Even though I watched for the second couple (and killed one off, thanks for that) the overall writing was weak at it's very best. The plot could have been done so much better if reasonability had been added. The main couple were so frustrating to watch. The second couple weren't the best but bearable. I really want to have at least some good comments about this series but with how slow moving and boring it became my concentration never lasted long enough to find the good points.

If you want a series to watch in the background as you do stuff around the house. Something as plain background noise, I would recommend it.

Hyunjun and Sunwook's date will be fun to watch. Knowing HJ personality from the lives he's done previously, I'm curious if he'll surprise me. I am rooting for Sunwook and whoever he chooses :)

I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought it would. Nothing dragged on, I enjoyed the character development and how it gave us both sides of the coin.

Oh how I lost so many brain cells forcing myself to watch out those scenes. Brain cells I'll never get back.

Never said it was or wasn't. I simply said I disliked both characters for different reasons.

For me, Ming's character was more complex and was amazingly acted by Up. Whereas Jimmy to me is a general playboy and the idea of sleeping friend's brother to get back at them is just not only a shitty friend and person. Not saying Ming was much better but it's easier to find excuses for Ming than Jimmy. He's a very basic annoying character, maybe I dislike him more because he's school/uni age and comes across very immature to me haha.

Listen, I watched My Stand-In and disliked Ming right til the end, to me he deserved no HE. I dislike Jimmy 100x more than Ming and he's not as complicated or dimensational as Ming, so that says a lot about his written character to me. Even if he changes, I dont want his HE either.

Just my opinion, you can disagree at any point but my opinion won't change haha.

Not all of us. Some of us were taught self-respect and to walk away than to lower yourself for someone who hurt you, but then some of us also wouldn't sleep or get with a guy our friends AND family, who is a friend of that guy, warned about 🤷‍♀️

And in the words of a humanist Erasmus; There is none so blind as those who will not see. Toh's "I can surely fix him" mentality is his own undoing. I dislile all characters but people like Toh in general, always give me a headache.

See by saying returning and keeping a poker face, I thought they mean returning cast from any of the previous seasons and keeping a poker face by not showing or mentioning you know them.

The others have already known each other a week, not sure how far apart this and the scrapped shoot took place, so I just don't see it as completely fair to the new guys. That's just what I think but neither do I think it'll make a difference haha.

I also agree with you, as much as I want some difference and for Korean dating shows to be more varied with casting, I can see why it's not. Even if I'll always have higher expectations haha.

Being dramatic how? For having an opinion on my first impressions of the first 2 episodes. This is what the comment section is for. I'm sure, like always, my impressions of the cast will change and having my predictions change or be proven wrong later will be fun. I do love a twist.

I've been watching since season 1 so I'm allowed to compared the seasons against another and have an opinion on it. Nobody has to agree with me, everyone has a different opinion on what they want from a dating show.

And it was weird pretending, to me anyway. If you think different, that's also your opinion. Straight away? Beginning of ep2 is not straight away really, but hey, tomato tomatoes.

I'm not a fan of the eliminations but I'm more open to new joiners.

For one, I'm big on fans not to see gay dating shows as BL shows. These are real gay man with stories. And I'm really looking forward for all their personalities to show and getting to know their individual stories.

That being said, by variety I mean korean dating shows seem to have a theme of picking a particular standard of beauty. Shows like The Boyfriend and Sparks Camp with all walks of people are shown, have set my standards higher. I do forget Korea's not there yet but I personally believe there are more that wanted to be on or applied, but I do think the show have certain type they want to pick to be on the show. Again, that's just my opinion.

Like I said, I don't mind it just wish it wasn't practically all the cast, and that they gave viewers a heads up. When I first saw the notice of returning members my initial thought was ooo some cast members from different previous seasons may have come back, that'll be fun. Feels like missing half the story with all them, and the weird pretending the writers/PD had them do was kinda silly. I get it's all due to timing and candidates but 8 returning is too many for me, my favourite part of His Man was everyone being new to each other (aside a few friends/acquaintances), that's gone now for me.

Will I watch every week though? Of course I will haha. So far; Hyeokjin, Jaeha and Sunwook are the ones I was drawn to. I'd like to see more of Jaeha's personality come out. Sunmin is gunna be my underdog of the season I think. Those that haven't grown on me or leave any impression that don't find myself wanting to know; Yunjae, Taichi, Heongjun., and possibly HyunJun (obvs know him from changmin but on their lives he seemed to have more personality there lol)
