LOL I saw some ppl said this drama is overrated already. I also said the same thing when this drama was airing coz for me after 14 eps, I kinda felt nothing. Just so so. Dont get me wrong. I love slice of life. Reply series and Racket Boys are amazing. But for this one, I just feel so so.

Hello. Can someone tell me, after ep 7 and Ki Seong Gyeom retired from become athlete, what is he doing for make a living? I mean, he is rich, but at least he should get a job? I dont mind about spoiler. Thanks.

You are not alone. I also feel so so after watching 14 episodes. Maybe "simple story" became more trending after kdrama trend nowadays showed too much mystery, thriller and rich people problems (penthouse, high class, etc). I prefer choose another slice of life dramas like reply series, hospital playlist and racket boys. They have more heartwarming stories and emotional scenes that touched my heart. But for homcha, its a realistic one just like usual slice of life in village and nothing big happened except 2 last eps.

For Homcha, I prefer two last episodes (15-16) coz it added the emotional material and the answer why Hong Du Sik came to the village. Just. At least this show is not that slow pace until make you bored. It had several moments that make you laugh and cry. Plus the unique character of people from Gongjin village. It must be still appreciated.

For rating, well, no comment. Before the scandals, so many people loved Han Ji Pyeong :) but there is also ppl who watched because they liked the element of this story.

Yes. The MDL comment section is going crazy right now. Especially if you go to KSH page here. So many ppl attack him also. But some fans still defend him like its his personal lives and etc.

Kim Seon Ho admitted that the rumour is true. He was the one that asked his former gf to abort their child MAYBE for the sake of his career. The gf said he promised to marry her before but he never did.

For me, Episode 15 is the strongest episode in hometown chachacha. Before this, i said that i was feeling so so for entire 14 eps. But eps 15 made me cry and this is what i am looking for in the drama. I love emotional scenes, heartwarming scenes, forgiveness, love between friends and family. All the scenes made me cry. Hong Du sik heartbreaking scenes, I-Jun feelings over his parents, Gam-Ri ending, even the forgiveness that everyone gave in this episodes. And the most important part, how Hong Du Sik finally forgive himself. Yes. I love all this scenes. Some people said this ep 15 is the weakest and cliche. Nope. For me. This one is the strongest because the emotional material inside.

I mean, 2 eps earlier, like in eps 13 middle or beginning of 14. It wont be a draggy ending. Instead, we have so much time to wrap up the series without rush. Eps 16 can be just an usual slice of life theme with heartwarming ending.

They were focusing too much on slice of life and keep pending the problem execution. 16 eps should be enough. Like they should handle Hong Du Sik's past 2 eps earlier.

Ok this is spoiler. The story is about two people that had tough life and tried to keep living. There is some issues about suicide inside, how the desperate ppl take that route but the main leads decided to survive with their tough life. And suicide is not the answer of problems. There is some dialogues that i loved in this drama, very realistic and stab you many times especially if you are very "ordinary" in this life. Lee Bu Jeong is former writer for publishing company but she got fired because of scandals with one senior actress that claimed the writing in her biography book is hers. But actually its Bu Jeong's writing. After that her life began to crumble. She got miscarriage, she got her husband "cheating", and her dad got dementia. And she hide the fact she is not working anymore in the publishing company. She works as house manager or maid. After that she met Gang Jae, the man who sold his body and his service to make a living. Like a "male prostitute". He was also the one who prevent her to suicide in earlier episodes. And then, they began to understand each other. If u asked me about love, i would say there is a romance and love between Bu Jeong and Gang Jae, but its not that direct like cheating series as usual.

Yes. I understand. I also know some ppl that cant watch Hospital Playlist because that drama is not their style. Its just all about everyone preferences :)

Coz i am still watching and i just give my opinion. Like u said, everyone has their own preference. I also didnt rate this drama. Which is my comment wont make this drama rate become lower. U can see the rate page of this drama. Some ppl also gave this drama scale 4.0-5.0 but its not me.

Yes its okay. Different ppl different taste n opinion. But i kinda agree for realistic and mature writing. This drama is adapted from 2 hours old movie and the writer need to make 16 eps for this.

Its different feeling when u watched reply series, reply 1997, reply 1994 and reply 1988. They are soooo slice of life genre without expect something incredible happened but its very heartwarming, the funny scenes hit the right moment and unique setting with retro style life. Its different with Racket Boys coz they still have the target for badminton parts. Reply series are like we did our daily routines but the script never forget its touching about the bond of family and friendship.

For homcha, i just dont feel warm about the story. Its just normal slice of life genre. Its just me that feel nothing for this entire 14 eps. There is funny scenes but thats all and some realistic moments like when Hye Jin moved to Gongjin in earlier episodes. But yeah thats my opinion btw.

Yeah thats ur opinion. For me, Racket Boys had so many warm hearted scenes, like friendship, the meaning of sports, and the most important is about family. Its not love story main focus. So its kinda understanding for weak portion in love story, coz its not the main plot. I love how they interpreted the bond of friendship within the boys. They are also the rival for each other. But they never forget the meaning of their friendship.

Agree with you. So many people started this because of Kim Seon Ho and Shin Min Ah. But after start up, most of them wanna see KSH as the main lead.

I also dont really like this drama unlike the others did. I just watch it like everyone else but i dont really enjoy it. If there is no KSH and SMA, maybe I already dropped it in midway. IMO, I prefer racket boys, hospital playlist and reply series if i can choose slice of life genre.

Yes. Actually RJY is not good looking type for korean handsome standard. He also said that in the interview back then. But he said it wont affect his confidence, his hardwork for the career. He will do the best for acting and to deliver what the meaning of the story for the drama he acted.

And yes, RJY had such interesting aura and acting skills for viewers. Even though ppl said he is not good looking but he is the type of interesting person.

Yes. I mean its not like we are supporting the scandal of writer. But we need to receive the original whole story as the viewers. Thanks God, the series decided to keep going with the same script.

Ok. So this is whats going on right now. The studio dragon spokeperson said that there is no changes in script even though the writer name is removed from credits. They said the series already in the end of filming and the script was done already for the entire series. It means we still receive the whole package from the same writer like the story, plot and twist. Its okay for me coz usually if the drama changed the writer in the middle, it would be a chaos.
