Im on episode 4. And it feels like the writers wanted to have all plots possible in one drama. Im not saying its…
have you gotten to episodes 5 and 6 yet? the transitions between the two main plots (healing-romance and mystery) becomes softer in those episodes. i'm not seeking to aggresively make you change your mind though.
i hope the romance will be slow-burn. so far it's moving at a comfortable pace, but to judge whether this will be a slow-burn or not, i guess we'll have to see next week's episodes. enjoying how the plot is progressing so far! my interest in the mystery sub-plot quite increased. i like how the creators manage to keep that sub-plot going while not subtracting the healing side of the drama (especially felt after this week's episodes).
i’ve seen that trope/plot device used as a cop-out by writers in place of meaningful, thought-provoking writing…
definitely true! it must feel so frustrating for the viewer when writers don't make full use of their plot's potential and instead lazily shove in tropes while hoping it will take care of the loose ends.
maybe it's just me who rarely watches makjang or any thriller dramas, but i don't find the twin/clone plot device that cliché. i do get that it is a bit overused in certain genres, but so far in this drama, i find that said plot device was introduced in an intriguing way.
can't this drama just air every day? :( plus there's the dilemma of waiting for it to end and binge watching it versus tuning into it every week..... never wished for mondays to come soon like this.
i love it when young-do says that you can't make a person walk when their ribs, legs, and hands are all broken. there's a timing for everything, and healing can be taken slowly. in the end, you shouldn't run away from the fact that you must expose the scar in order for it to heal—but you don't force someone into it before they're ready.
Please don't shy away from this drama because of the love triangle. I didn't know there was said tag but really, after watching the first episode, I don't think it can be really called a love triangle... I suck at elaborating but someone down below left a comment (with the spoiler tag on) explaining the triangle.
something i didn't expect—and by which i was pleasantly surprised—from the teasers was the beautiful cinematography! looking forward to future episodes; i hope it gets even more artistic. in general, this drama has just completely destroyed the expectations i had against it by the first episode, in the best way ever.
