No she didn't. They won't show such a male lead but thinking of her as a servant he thought that there was no need to ask for the permission of her servant parents like how in the ancient times marriages used to happen only with the permission and approval of parents but he didn't care about it cause he thought that marrying him was already a blessing for FL and her parents but for the FL the marriage was like entering a cage so she got angry for two reasons one that he didn't ask for her parents permission and two that he forced her to marry him by getting an imperial decree from the emperor without asking her about her thoughts and decision.

I watched the trailer again and I feel amazed like lanxiang is so smart to slap jinqi when their wedding ritual was completed because if she had made a scene or resisted before the wedding she would have been a servant who has no right making a fuss and being disrespectful towards her master but after marrying him she became his wife, someone who is not a servant and now holds power and title. And she did it infront of everyone to show her displeasure but he couldn't do anything about it cause he is the one who asked for this marriage from the emperor.

I'm watching for both but I had to take it out here cause some characters are so naive and innocent that seeing villains manipulating them is a bit unbearable😭

Why do I keep wanting to only watch the interaction between ML and FL as well as interactions from FL's side cause I know the Du siblings are up to no good and ML's sisters are foolishly heading to their doom😭

It's not really a game but divination aka fortune telling which is usually done by tossing coins in metal turtle shell, shaking it and spreading it but not everyone has such turtles or coins to spare to do divination so it's called divination for the rich but for the poor the divination is done by the sticks of a specific plant that signifies good fortune and because the scholars from that time used to mostly come from poor background or thought that the struggles of poor people was novel so that scholar wanted to learn about the method to divinate with the sticks but FL's grandfather didn't teach him so he was always curious about it hence he felt very interested when he saw her divinating with the stick. Also I think ML could see that she is intelligent and smart but has a fatal weakness that is her kindness and he also knows that she is perspective enough to know the consequences of betraying him or saying something she shouldn't say so he must want to use her as a pawn whenever he needs but it must also be the case that he has started taking interest in her because she is different from other maids?

FL gets to know the flower miss du has gifted ML actually has the same name as miss du's given name. ML was about to wear that flower or something idk? But then she stops it from happening cause it might create ambiguous relationship between miss du and ML which would bring their reputation at risk.

They didn't even make the trailer exciting😭. If I wasn't interested in the inner courtyard struggle of women from that time I wouldn't have picked this series to watch. There are so many things that they could have added but it's all just slice of life moments.

He married his wife when he was young but she didn't even let him touch her cause she was in love with her cousin. Later he went to the military and didn't come back for six years so he never took a concubine so he doesn't have children and now he has also seperated from his wife.

You got the sequence wrong cause ML married Zhao xingtang but saw how she disliked him and then he realised that her family wants to control him so he instead went to war and earned in own merits to not become a puppet in their hand. Also Zhao xingtang was his wife and not concubine. Main wife and concubine's status have the difference of heaven and earth.

There are so many hidden details in every of their actions that will just add to the conflict in the future but if you want a fast paced plot then this series is not really for you ig.

Actually if you observe the details then you would notice that because ML's wife was afraid and hasty she and her lover left traces whenever they shifted from one place to another so ML caught up those details and chased her like a cat chases the mouse. Other thing is FL was able to escape because she carefully planned and caught the interest of the scholar who is highly respected by ML and Zhao family and this information was spread to the guests that arrived for the ML's mother in law's birthday due to which killing her would make people suspicious about why she was killed and in turn they won't be able to keep Zhao xingtang's infidelity hidden so for their own reputation and thinking that FL might not know about Zhao xingtang's affair at all they didn't kill the FL.

Thank God cause I'm enjoying every ep and one ep a day would feel like a nightmare to my curious self.

Of course they think about the living one more than the dead one cause those who are alive causes more worries than the dead ones. But they do talk about their dead daughter from time to time.

Does everyday we get 1 ep or 2 eps?

I kept thinking that the one ML's wife was having affair with looks familiar but now I remembered he is ah-xiang's lover and husband from word of honor😭. Seeing him playing the opposite role from what I saw him last time is quite surprising.

Ohh .. but I feel sorry for all those series that ended abruptly because of the ban 😭

Seriously? It's has 47 eps? I thought china made a rule not to exceed 40 eps? Though I'm not complaining cause I'm liking this series already.

I wonder why at the end of every j-bl they end up running at the last moment😭. It's so overused that I'm tired of such plot now. Every of their plot start differently and uniquely and then they just end up running as if realising that they can't live without love😭
