Def doesn't top Hospital Playlist, but it's REALLY GOOD!! A light watch. I think I enjoyed Jae-il and Sa-bi's (dang they're cute 😭) chemistry more than Yi-yeong and Do-won's.
This drama was a warm blanket. You find two people with their own paths, opinions, and ambitions trying to make things work. They could have wrapped it up within 24 eps, but otherwise great chemistry and acting.

If the rants were justified, I'd understand, but it stems from the inability to understand the emotional depth of a character, which was mainly targeted towards the FL being annoying. I will empathize if the acting was bad, but this was top notch acting esp. for a Chinese drama, without having to rely on martial arts or CGI.
Loved this one. Peak Entertainment. This is not a typical kdrama, which is the selling point (for me ofc). I don't see which 'annoying FL' are the comments referring to. JRW did absolute justice to this role. The FL was a person who lost her mother, grew up as an orphan, and did what she had to, to survive. Her entire personality is based on that and doing things others wouldn't so she could move up the ladder cause she doesn't have anyone to back her up except for herself. Yes, she makes mistakes, but she also shows remorse, learns and tries not to make the same mistakes. I understand an audience being a critic, but the lack of ability to understand a character is a different issue altogether. I wish the plot extended to more than the antagonist tho. A few more cases would've made it more interesting.
Currently on ep 10 and can't seem to want to watch this show anymore. How is the FL supposedly in a relationship when she can't even convince the viewer that she likes the ML? Literally came here for Miles Wei, but Karlina Zhang's acting makes me not want to stay even for his sake. Even the second leads have better chemistry 😭😭 Not to mention the plot is sooo bland.
the entire story was carried by the probability of A'Ling and Shen Yan getting married 😂😂 and then there's the no element of suprise that every other guy wants to marry this chick, it's hilarious lmao
Well paced with multiple plots. Most chinese dramas make up for the plot holes by dragging the angst, while this had none of it. Less angst, more story. Could've worked on the leads chemistry a bit more, the rest of it kinda makes up for it. To sum up, this drama was a good watch, and most importantly ISN'T DRAGGY. It's frustrating to see some dramas drag out the romance till 20+ eps cause they've literally got no story to tell expect for the fact that it entirely hinges upon two indecisive people mooning over each other.
I really don't understand what some people here are ranting about. This was beautiful. An absolute 10/10 watch. I wish someone erased this drama from my brain just so I could watch it all over again.
pure fluff, the misunderstanding was a downer, made it seem like they didn't have any content to fit in those few eps in between, FL was a bit of an idiot but she had her "reasons", overall it was a cute watch
Zheng shuyi is one frustrating character, to top it all off we had the classic bestfriend who gives bad advice to drag the show on T.T the show only picked up after ep 23. The carema angles were so messed up, got me tripping. Literally watched this show only for the amazing cast.
This was a good show, an absolute emotional rollercoaster ride. However, I wished there was more character development apart from the main leads, in other words it was a waste of potential.The palace drama after the battle of Wangdu was so unnecessary. The funniest part was that for a drama written w/ so much intricacy, all they had going on was the greivance and manipulation of one antagonist. This could've easily been finished within 34 episodes. The empress dowager and the treasury investigation was such a dead end, like I get it, they solved it blah blah blah, but where was the climax episode of exposing them after building it for I don't know, 4 to 5 episodes (?) Sure, there was a story to be told they want to set Jiang He free, but, imo it wasn't worth it. The crown prince had the emotional stability of a five year old, and that part of the story was really well done, just the right amount of angsty. I think the only reason I powered through the show was for Lou Zhishang's downfall, which after all that angst wasn't dramatic enough (for me, ofcourse).
