I'll leave a comment so that ratings stay at zero lol. I have no courage to move it anywhere beyond that. It's…
Dami is initially worried about having this "Indian lady" as her step mom. She tails her dad for a whole day from dance class to market to bus on way back home and realizes how lonely he is. She soon adjusts to the idea he needs someone in his life and starts coaching him about what Indian women like (ππhelppasfsdfjlh) Dad practices hard, confesses to the lady (in Hindi) and she says sorry (in Hindiπ) Movie ends with her not giving up, getting a tour guide book for her dad, and taking him on a trip to India to find him other ladies. ππππ
I'll leave a comment so that ratings stay at zero lol. I have no courage to move it anywhere beyond that. It's a short film so I'm writing the whole story in 2 parts, I'll add second half as a spoiler. (So that you can save the trouble of watching)
SYNOPSIS: Basically story of a widower, whose daughter finds out he is suddenly learning Hindi and attending belly dancing classes. She follows him to the class, finds him in woman's belly dance outfit (??? is that how it works?) and comes to the conclusion he is in love with the instructor.
Negatives:
- There is some heavy stereotyping and "poking fun" though it was mostly was shown as the daughter's perceptions
- BUT BUT BUT BUT sorry this was funny to me, the "Indian Belly dance" instructor was actress Viktoriya Kiyaeva :) Who seems to be from a Russian speaking country? :) And yeah the Korean ML spoke better Hindi words lol so I don't think she was casted for her language skills either. This would've been cool to watch if someone who is more suitable did the role. Or if she could represent her own culture - which ngl, makes me feel India was chosen thanks to "stereotypability"
Positives: - they acting per se is not bad. Cinematography is good. - imo there is something that seems to be character growth, which happens out of love for her father. And I wouldn't think too much about a teenager being stereotyped, tbf kids know nothing much about places and people they have not seen, especially fro a movie set before internet was this popular, also Indian culture is different and difficult to understand.
FINAL OPINION -- It was one time watch -- I only care about the father daughter relationship, and the cute efforts made by the guy - like with dance and language and everything
omg wow the combo... Doctor, Lawyer, Im Soo Hyang, So Ji Sub?? "Together, they will punish the people who believe that those with wealth and power are the only ones with important lives. They will be the comforter of their victims" ??? WOOOOAH πππ Waiting waiting waitinggg π
Iβm soo hyang is extremely skilled and experienced. Have fun skipping it, Iβll be tuning in to it every week.…
Wow are you roleplaying a jerk out of "My ID is Gangnam Beauty"?? lol Cosmetic surgery exists and is legal for a reason. If it does nto affect mental health, boosts confidence and helps with someone's self confidence and to love themselves more, there is nothing wrong with someone who can afford it getting it done.
She is a good actor. And if you are for real, and hate her, I am pretty happy her drama doesn't have to be watched by someone so narrow minded and ridiculous π Stay hydrated or something, bye
What a disgusting homophobic comment! He is an actor, you seem to be suggesting that because he played a gay man…
What nonsense is thatπ Twitter can bring out the worst in fandoms fr Whoever does that can keep crying rivers over the series. They won't be missed if they stopped being "fans" π and he'll find new and better ones too, he's a sweetheart.
I did that today and was amazed by his power lol
