Totally agree with you. Finished the book, loved it but many parts canāt be used in the drama because of the gore. However they interpret the novel, Iām 100% going to watch it because the story is poignantly beautiful.

Iām reading the novel too since Iām getting impatient waiting for the episodes to air. Itās so damn good and has brought me countless tears. Images of Dilraba and Allen keep flashing on my mind as I go from one chapter to the next.I couldnāt stop reading it. And I wonāt be worried how the drama is interpreted compared with the book. The xianxia genre can be a hit or miss for me but this one is already a super hit in my heart!

Finished the 4 raw episodes. Iām really happy with the drama so far because of the following: 1. Obvious reason this is a Dilraba Dilmurat in costume drama! 2. Allen Renās Changyi is doing a good job conveying a confused, innocent but totally masculine mermanš 3. No annoying and overly exaggerated character that are borderline comical 4. Love how the camera shots were done when Changyi and Ji Yun He had their āintimate momentsā(xianxia style) focused on the eyes, the face..details were good. I hope they keep these up with the coming episodes.
Watched the first episode courtesy of the link provided by one of our friends here. Despite not having an English subtitle, the visuals are stimulating and make you focus on the details that get forgotten when reading. Dilrabaās facial expressions I.e. the way she looks and talks convey sophistication and intelligence for the role sheās playing without being overacting; which is so typically done and seen in Cdramas. Her beauty however is distracting me because I just gazeš. Ending OST is magnificent. High definition screen would certainly help when watching for better appreciation of the set design.
