I had no expectations from this drama except wanting a light one that’s easy to watch. I wanted to take a break from watching the news about war, or Hello, The Sharpshooter which is getting draggy and monotonous, and the much serious one Someday or One Day. And this was a perfect choice. I ended up marathoning the episodes since I got excited with the plot twits and turns. It was hilarious when the brother and sister couldn’t believe that the stereotypical plot lines of a drama is actually happening to them., especially to the sister’s romance. ML ‘s side profile reminds me of Leo Wu but he’s got his own charm of drawing the viewers with his innocence. He looked good in costume and cute in the modern world too! FL rightfully acted a 19 year old that got tough from being orphaned but vulnerable too. The last episodes got draggy though because of the female villain’s plot lines and the flashbacks. I wished the writer didn’t do too many of those scenes instead did a little of how they are in the modern world. Both the transmigration styles (falling in the water) at the beginning and ending (?)were already used in other dramas I.e. Splash, Splash into love(?) and Scarlet Heart Ryeo. Finally, if you’re into light and easy dramas to watch, try giving this a chance and you might just enjoy it like I did.

Let’s hope that they will do that. Despite some people’s misgivings that Elite Prosecutors or Prosecutor Elite might be a boring plot, If Reba could,work with multi-awarded and senior actors, she’d definitely be learning a lot from them. As for Lay, I share your fears that with him as an ML, the drama would suffer. His last one was Crime Crackdown with a veteran actor. Which did very well, his part though wasn’t big, from what I read. So, until an official announcement is made for Reba’s next project we can only hope and speculate.
Lay as a ML for this drama is just a rumour bcos he is down for North of the Space with Yang Zi!

You’re right in saying that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. But you saying that Dilraba isn’t beautiful baffles me. Then sighting actresses who’s faces are all the same as more beautiful than her. I’ve seen too many Cdramas to dispute your comment about the FL not being beautiful here.
I was laughing at the earlier episodes because I thought the story was easy and cute. But the nonstop, white lotus co worker, the older anchorman harassing the FL, and the other team planning against the ML team are tiring. I’m on episode 24 and just ranted how silly the FL is becoming. Sigh, if this story doesn’t turn around I’ll drop it.

I agree with you. For some reason this story is giving me the creeps. FL is supposed to be of the same age with ML in the story(?) if they were a couple 10 years ago. She would have to act like she’s of the same age as him, to be a doctor at the same time be in a very sexually healthy relationship once they get back. I’m not sold that a 23 year old actress can carry this. Kdrama is obsessed with older FL and younger ML while CDrama makes early 20s actors into doctors.(Unless she got accelerated in school) A much older actress or someone of the same age as him would have been a good choice. And I wouldn’t have any problems with the steamy scenes. I doubt if Chinese censorship would even let these scenes pass.
