This is not typical rom-com drama about male and female leads. This one mainly focuses on WangXin (BJT) and his mentor and different people they cross paths with from 1978 to 2017. There are some tensions between WX & MY but doesn't last long. 2FL syndrome is there in few of the earlier episodes.

HL & WIFTY are two separate type of dramas and cannot be compared and each can be rated individually higher or lower based on their own strength. HL can be compared to YAMG or My Sunshine & WIFTY can be compared to Time and him are just right or Exclusive fairy tale drama, As for casting, its not always possible to cast same actors because of various reasons. It would have been great if they could keep the original cast, but I think this drama is being made by a diff company. It might have all diff actors, director & crew and most importantly diff way of storytelling. In such a situation it would be awkward to see two old actors playing the same role. When this drama airs, I would watch it as a individual drama and not a sister drama to HL. Hopefully it gets made and airs successfully without any hindrances. As for GGS1 & GGS2, even if they were made by same company, and managed to keep the original cast (mostly), they changed the director and the entire storytelling changed. For me 1 & 2 are two separate type of drama and cannot be compared.

There are 2 main couple. One cp get together around mid of the drama. The one get together on the last episode. There is breakup with little scope for patchup. No 2 ML-FL syndrome. No ex bf gf disturbance. Its more focussed on family drama than romance. Ending can be considered satisfactory, mostly happy.

Yes I know about the scandal. But that happened over a year ago. The maker could find another actress and start with the project. It's not like shooting had done or anything. Replacing in initial stages is not an issue as the FL is fully cancelled and no way of returning.
