I've only seen a few episodes so far, waiting for official subs. I also couldn't really feel the chemistry between…
I believe you really don't need passionate kisses or overtly romantic scenes to show/create chemistry. Even a simple look, touch or hug can go a long way in creating chemistry. I'm following the fansubs on avv and till now I haven't felt anything of that nature between the leads. And yet, I can feel the chemistry between li shu and chang yi, li shu and luo luo, yunhe and LHQ or even master of the valley and qing shu. And of course, the deepest bond/chemistry between luo luo and yunhe. So I will reserve judgement on the lead couple for now.
Ok tonight is the first time I really feel the chemistry between the two leads.😍🤩 This is what happens when…
Yes, even I couldn't feel the chemistry between the leads in all the fan subbed episodes I've watched till now but I really like their interactions. They're both interesting characters so seeing them navigate their complex relationship is interesting. But it doesn't seem particularly romantic or passionate or even like a connection or bond yet. Just two people thrown together by fate who continue to be together. Of course, I'm still on the early tens episode of part 1 so my opinion could change drastically later. I actually feel more chemistry between JYH and LHQ, the looks they exchange all the time, omg!!
Ok i’m one of those people who thinks he doesn’t fit my idea of what KM should look like per the novel but…
Oh don't feel bad. There are many who share your sentiments and even I initially struggled to picture these two actors together. But these chinese netizens were being disrespectful and trashing on him because of his 'not fitting the conventional beauty standards' looks which is what I take issue with and that's what made me feel bad for the actor.
I’m watching Legally Romance and he has a small part in to. Completely different character and look! I think…
Yes, that could be the reason. And some chinese netizens go so far as saying he must be very rich or the director's relative or he has bribed someone to get this part. But when I was browsing today, I found some comments and videos which also appreciated him or showed love for their cp so I guess, we just take the bad apples in stride.
I like Kong ming...hahaha...I don't think he is ugly. He looks manly in my opinion 🤣
Yes, he's quite good, even in other scenes without luo luo. And even on Chinese sites like bili bili and weibo, I saw some people appreciating and loving his acting and his chemistry with luo luo , so I think we can just ignore the loud majority since there are many people who are appreciating him too.

Yes I've seen his look and styling in some other dramas too. He's a good actor, I think he's usually type cast for comic relief or a 'all brawns, no brains' kind of character. Kong Ming's role is the first time, I think, in which he's been given a love interest. I think he's done really well in breaking his typecasted roles. I think most people don't have an issue with his role otherwise, it is only when he has intimate scenes with Luo Luo that he is getting hate.

Right, I'm sure there are many who are not happy with look of this couple together. But stating that respectfully and constructively, like the discussions we've had here, is so much better than spewing rude and hateful things. I see this a lot in korean and chinese internet users. Anonymity makes them feel arrogant enough to write these kinds of things.
People are just so toxic and surface. Felt so bad for him too T.T
True. Oh well, it doesn't reduce my enjoyment of his performance and the drama itself. Just feel bad for the actor, people forget that actors and celebs are also humans.
He doesn’t need to apologize cause it their problems.
That's true. I felt so bad for him at that point. He honestly looks so cute in his livestream and his voice is also amazing. He has acted really well in TBW , he should be proud!! His 'magic' related acting is probably the best in the whole drama. There are some scenes in which he looks very charismatic and powerful.

Yes, there are some shots in which he really looks powerful and sage like. I like him as an actor and I even like their cp, it has moments. So sad that the actor is getting so much hate that he responded to it :(
Just saw a few videos which say that Wang Zi Teng, the actor who plays Kong Ming, apologized in his livestream in response all the hate he's getting for his looks!! That's so sad 😭 I feel so bad for the guy, he's a really great actor and he looks so cute in his livestream. Many 'fans' were leaving comments like are all handsome actors extinct or even that his romantic scenes Luo Luo makes them uncomfortable. He apologized to Luo Luo and the audience for that. Ugggh I feel like crying, that's so sad.
That was the most action that any couple has gotten in the show so far...LOL... I feel that it is fitting for…
I've read 100s of comments like that on bilibili. For example, I cannot heal my eyes after seeing that or Kong Ming, get away from that girl, Luo Luo. *sigh* The production has definitely made a very interesting casting choice and I, for one, don't mind it too much while still being aware of that there was so much more potential there, from the great interactions between Luo Luo and Kong Ming to HYX's looks and skill at creating chemistry. They had so much to work with to make them a secondary couple to be reckoned with. Right now, they're getting mostly negative publicity for the couple, which businesses consider good publicity too .
