I've been having a problem in connecting with her acting since episode 1. Could also be because this is my first drama of hers. But the whole conflict with her father in the first episode was difficult to watch. No hate to the actress. 💜 Borahae

I agree with you. I struggled through the latest episodes because I just can't seem to connect with her acting. Her emotions aren't reaching me at all.

No I haven't watched WIFTY. A river runs through it is the only campus drama I've watched and I loved it so so much, I was obsessed with it. Never felt like picking up another campus drama after it lol.

There's lot of buzz about HYX on weibo right now, people are really loving her styling and look in Gong Yu. But some gossip accounts are also stirring trouble saying that HYX should've been the main lead, that she looks better than the FL, is more popular and is more suitable for the FL role. As a result many fans of the FL are hating on HYX. I hope this doesn't reflect badly on her and I hope this doesn't result in people throwing hate at her.

I haven't watched any of her other dramas and a matter of fact. I just decided to check this one out because I love Wang Rui Chang and that was literally my first impression of both the ML and FL. I haven't watched any other dramas of the leads before.

Looks like HYX is really going to be a part of this production. I was hoping she won't be, it's a controversial project. No official announcement yet either

She was in that one episode of the Truth with Dilraba and Guan Xiao Ting. It was cute but very small appearance. Mostly she has appeared in very small, not very well known variety shows

I think the official premiere date has been announced for cctv8 but youku has not made any official announcement.

1. There is a special episode with the cutest happy ending ever
2. Story is okay, last 10 episodes are a bit draggy. It's the acting that really sells this

Oh I didn't know that. Any idea how long her contract lasts? Once those years are up, I hope she switches to another better agency. She has grown too big for this small and unknown agency of hers.

On the one hand, I am happy she is doing a high budget production and popular IP like the doll game but on the other hand, her character is not even as important as the other female character Su Man. She would in fact be the third fl not even second FL. I don't know what her agency is doing. Instead of being confined to this production for the next two three months, if they'd capitalised on her popularity from HDY, they could've even scored a bigger role for her. Now her momentum from HDY will fizzle out by the time she is out of the doll game production. Sooo frustrating and so crappy of her agency. I really really really wish she'd find a new agency. Why are they even making her take such less important roles, I don't understand.

His Love and Redemption and the Blood of Youth became massive success (although I haven't watched both of them) but others were quite lackluster.
