Yes she plays a completely different character in that one so I'm not surprised that you didn't realise it's her hehe. It is a bit dark and depressing but the revenge aspect is satisfying. And it's one of the best roles of HYX

What made me even more impressed in that he is actually in the middle of shooting another drama with Seven Tan. He still made time to shoot this. It's definitely to do something with coffee.

I really hope it's not Mo Li either but I did some research and there aren't any other dramas that are rumoured to begin shooting in these couple of days. So don't know but it's looking bleak. I really hope she's not the SFL. I did some research into the novel of Mo Li, there aren't many SFL like roles in Mo Li, whatever they are are negative roles. I think we won't know anything for sure till tomorrow.

If it is indeed Mo Li, then she'll be acting opposite Niu Jun Feng . And I don't know how to feel about that either. He's relatively unknown to me.

I checked out his new drama. And I can't help but feel kinda sad. He has so much potential, I hope he gets better scripts and projects in the future. His styling in this new drama is chef's kiss, but I can't help but feel that he's just sooo good that he's kinda out of place in this story, with these actors and in this low budget production.

I read your blog (almost entirely 🫣) after reading this review. I noticed you don't always need romance in your dramas and put more stock on character growth. Hence, I would highly recommend the drama Faithful , starring Janice Wu and HYX. It has little to no romance and mostly focuses on forming a rag tag group to avenge a wrong doing. You will see HYX in a completely different role in it and her acting really shines in that drama. It has its flaws (almost all cdramas do) but maybe you'll find it worth watching.

Yes it will be difficult for sure. Hope she is able to get good offers and takes good decision. If it's a hidden gem like Word of Honour, then it's possible. The script and direction is of utmost importance, hence, we'll have to wait and see. It is unfortunate that we see the same faces again and again because of the traffic game. But even big companies like New Classics Media casted Tian Xi Wei when she was relatively unknown and New Life Begins did become sort of a hit. So I'm still hopeful.

I think Hu Yi Xuan is a good fit for the FL. She can play innocent parts as well as the serious, scheming parts very well.

Because in Mandarin proverb for both he and she sound the same and are not gendered. The English subs have translated it into he and she for our benefit.
