20 and 21 also feel the same though there is little improvement over 18 and 19
I agree with the comment above, they spent such a long time establishing his character as a smart and ruthless general who can read the FL like a book and know all her intentions which even we as viewers don't know. And then reduce him to an oblivious and clueless sweet character who is oh so innocent and naive. It's so unconvincing and going against your own story lol. Same with the FL , such a clever and refined lady who has all the answers and her cleverness can save not only herself but other people too, but suddenly starts acting like a cute kid with a teenage crush. I had made my peace with faulty logic and laughable politics of the drama, determined to at least brainlessly enjoy the sweet romance. But even that is going out the window for me ๐
No bother at all, happy to help. It's a special episode released by mangotv after the end of the drama so although it is a part of it, it comes after the main series has ended. I think you can find it on mgtv but you have to pay for it . I saw it in clips on bilibili and weibo. But after some time, it definitely will be available for free as well.
Everyone has different tastes. For example, I don't like "Prisoner of Beauty" or "The Double". And I wouldn't…
Hehe I thought I was the only one struggling with POB. I liked it initially but now it's gotten so boring. Completely meandering in its repetitive romantic plot. I was watching it for LYN but I don't that'll be enough for me to continue now. I find the direction, logic, storytelling and FL's acting to be mediocre. I am going to find another drama that doesn't devolve so completely from its initial premise. Like JOL or Rise of Phoenixes
I couldn't finish In Blossom either. so sad. I had great hope for this and In Blossom. but this is the biggest…
Yes LNF is not an absolute disaster. It's just okay, so so. The beginning is fun and the chemistry and leads' acting is great so at least that's something.
I was thinking about the endingโฆ it could have been executed to something positive and sweet yet, it feels melancholy…
Agreed. The only positive and cute aspect to the end comes in the special epilogue episode. I saw some clips of it and it's actually cuter and sweeter than the majority of the drama. So light and sweet .
At last the good translations manifested and I completed the series. Still waiting for the extra episode. I think…
Many people have rated this low without even watching the drama, for reasons that are known or unknown. Also, some viewers lost their patience with the slow pacing in between so that could be another reason. I think this drama benefits from bingeing rather than chasing. So let's see if it improves now that it has finished airing
Whew finally managed to slog through the final few eps despite the paper thin plot and most annoying villain Iโve…
I've seen clips of the special episode and it's so cute OMG! The leads really have great chemistry ๐๐ it especially shines in the special episode, when they're free of all their inhibitions.
20 and 21 also feel the same though there is little improvement over 18 and 19
Yes the last 4-5 episodes are getting repetitive. So many trips between his study and bedroom lol. The writing and direction takes a dip in these episodes.
8.9, damn! I'm hoping to catch up more this weekend. But I am so excited for LYN in Dream Within a Dream. With…
Yes. I'm really looking forward to ADWAD now. POB was more anticipated for me because of its synopsis but it is just okay, for me, last few episodes are repetitive and boring a bit. I hope I'm able to enjoy ADWAD at least. And yes, his styling in it is *chef's kiss*.
I did a little bit of research and apparently, except for a few historical dramas like TBW, TSP and MDD, HYX has done her own voice acting for almost all her dramas. Even for the historical dramas Faithful
It shouldn't be shelved over a pair of earrings for sure ๐ chinese netizens are getting too cray cray
I didn't know about this backstory as I don't follow social media. So I did a little bit of research and , yes, if as you said there's embezzlement especially from disaster relief fund, then her father should be brought to justice. Of course, even if she herself is not involved and is completely clueless about it, given China's cancel culture and reputation based social perception, she will at least face a soft ban or something, which is also justified then I feel. However, from what I understand, this is still speculation predominantly from the netizens. There is no official announcement or investigation result yet, so I will reserve judgement till an official investigation or official announcement is made, and not just based on the rumour mongering of netizens playing as armchair detectives.
I thought she'd have a cuter or sweeter (happier) reaction to being called manman. But she did a fast disappearing smile so that scene didn't land very well for me. I know they were discussing heavier stuff before that but the ML , for whom the stuff was arguably heavier, still managed a cute smile and expression.
I thought she'd have a happier or quietly sweeter reaction to being called Man Man. Hers was lukewarm. The hug was cute though. Cute camera angle. Also Wei Yan's actor is starting to grate a bit. His fumbling and stumbling is starting to look too artificial and contrived. Can't seem to get a handle on his acting.
I just found out she under the agency Dan Lu Culture which is such a small scale agency, I'm honestly surprised…
Same. I also noticed her first in TSP. I think LNF definitely helped. She gained new followers and fans. Plus she also gained a lot of respect from reviewers and professionals in the industry because of her talent and hardwork in shooting alone in front of the green screen. This is the first time a lead in a drama has been replaced using reshoots and technology so I guess that counts for something
I just found out she under the agency Dan Lu Culture which is such a small scale agency, I'm honestly surprised…
She has mostly played leads in small budget web dramas like TSP, UL, ARRTI. Mr. cat is another such small budget drama which is receiving no love from YouKu. She started getting into big budget productions from the Blue Whisper onwards and she started with supporting roles and guest roles. LNF is her first relatively high budget drama as the FL, it was earlier S level but later was termed as A level in its budget. But still it was a reshoot and had a lot of ups and downs so it was not really the best way to break out onto the scene of high budget dramas as the FL. Her next move now will prove to be crucial, she should now take a new project only if she can get the lead in a big budget drama. Doing anything other than that will lead to her taking a major step back and coming back from that would be difficult.
Any idea whatโs her next role? Hope she gets FL role and no more second/third female role. She should be more…
I just found out she under the agency Dan Lu Culture which is such a small scale agency, I'm honestly surprised she is getting any good work at all. It has only 4-5 actors under its banner and honestly, none are as well known or experienced as Hu Yi Xuan. So it's a very small agency with fairly unknown actors and that too only 4 or so. ๐ I hope somehow HYX still makes it through her hardwork and talent
Also Wei Yan's actor is starting to grate a bit. His fumbling and stumbling is starting to look too artificial and contrived. Can't seem to get a handle on his acting.
