As for CSS, I understand her choices even if I don't always agree. remember she's a teenager she doesn't always think things through her not going after the princess is basically her not trying to make trouble unless they actually harm her such as with the fifth princess and the third she gets even with them both in one way or another her bearing the fifth princess as long as she did is for the empress. I notices as she got more into palace life she became more comfortable dealing with the princesses. Things I rag on her on is whenever her mom gave her advice but she would ignore it just to go against her I still understood why but never agreed with it. LBY however I could never get mad at.

about the period this is a fictional setting in some eras the older ones to be exact some women had a lot more freedom, not as much as a man but they still This is why people like Wu Zetian could exist.

Don't get me wrong he is going to break her heart into tiny little pieces. He also made a choice. But I can never judge him harshly knowing That he was ready to get married and be happy with CSS after would complete his goal of getting justice but the events that happened after just sent him into a spiral he willingly threw himself into.

Um, he isn't thinking to have a killing spree at the moment. Just because it happened does mean he always intend it so. Just because you have hindsight doesn't mean you let it cloud the character. Stuff happened that pushed him over the edge he isn't out actively making promises he has no intention of keeping. He truly means every word he said to her.

Fl had great development I give the show a 7or8/10 It doesn't insult your intelligence especially compare to the thrash CDramaland has been giving us But ultimately My main choice was Story of minglan, it is better written and acted but Sound of Desert is enjoyable but keep in mind I watched this after the God awful The General and I with Angela baby so I could have a bit biased but you could be talking about the sequel to the the show Which as terrible and also lead by Angela Baby

I liked the Fl character because she matures and was flawed but she ultimately got shit done Not a fan of Cecelia Liu but that was one of her two best-written roles the other being Scarlet heart. The Ml was great too

I would advise against skipping the second leads because it is important to the character development of the main characters as this is a coming-of-age story. Keep that in mind, please. Also this is a character-driven show where relationships and choices matter.

I would say stick with it until maybe episode 10(in episodes 13-14 things take a darker turn and you see your LBY in his glory). But keep in mind that this is a slow-burn coming-of-age story about a young girl with a lot of issues. She slowly gets more involved with LBY but at the start of the relationship, he isn't there as much. In the novel, he appeared later than in the show.

yes, The sound of Desert is good. The female lead is one of the best tbh give it a try. If you have never seen the Story of minglan try that out. Same novel author as LLTG.
