Now that the S2 have their booting ceremony done, I need to rewatch this S1 coz I honestly forgot the storyline aside from the lead being a time traveler. Or maybe I'll just rewatch the last episode I'm sure memories will come back after watching the ending again.
Currently watching and on ep 7, so far sa good and can I just say that the chemistry is chemistry-ing. The casting director really did well in choosing the main leads, he is supposed to be the uncle by age and seniority to her and in real life he is actually 20 years older than the FL. I didn't know I was craving for a realistic casts until The Substitute Princess' Love came.
Just a little reminder to all the viewers. There sre 3 types of time travel dramas and you should have different expectations on the endings.
1st, REAL TIME TRAVEL in to the past, this is when a character really traveled back in to the past with real settings, real happenings and real people that really lived during that era. In its ending should expect a reincarnation of the characters in the present time (during the reincarnation that's another story).
2nd, TIME TRAVEL IN TO VIDEO GAMES. Though I don't like to watch this type of time travel ( I only watched Your Highness) it's basically about the characters transported in to the video games. You can expect a reunion of the characters in the real world for its ending. Why? because most of the time the characters are real players.
3rd, TIME TRAVEL IN TO THE SCRIPT OR BOOK. This is where Peacock in Wonderland belongs. As you know script and book are made of the writer's imagination meaning the characters are not real but the inspiration of the writer in writing them might really exist . So, there's still hope for the reunion of the characters. You can expect a little dissapointment in it's ending because there's no way that a character that doesn't belong in the book will stay inside the story.
Peacock in Wonderland is a good story only if you're aware of what you are watching. For me, I enjoyed watching it.

The last 2 episode will be in the modern world already. I don't want to spoil but I'll give you a hint. - He knows her first 1 year ago because of the dreams- Well, that's not just a little hint 😅 All in all, it is a therapy drama especially that I watched Peacock In Wonderland first before My Divine Emissary.
Probably the 2nd time travel drama that I've watched so far that has a satisfying ending (for me).
She time travel back to the past while he got reincarnated into the present and they're dream is not a coincidence but actually happened during her time in Qi Kingdom. When 2 people are destined, they're going to meet in the right time.
How did you survive without getting angry at Qianqian?
As much as I want to "watch it as comedy" I really cannot find myself enjoying the comedy part knowing how "stupid" for me Qianqian is especially that she is a modern person, a writer. As a writer, you already know that the time you decided to change the fate of one character, the whole story will be affected. Thanks for your advice anyway.
Zhang Jing Yi's first historical drama is a success.
The story is so heart-warming and very comforting. Women empowerment is my most favorite part of this. My only regret is Rong and her husband and the baby.
Congratulations Zhang Jing Yu and Hu Yi Tian for a successful project.
Fav moments of the final episodes:Jian became the emperor - and Shen Qi is his teacherShaoyao and Jian reunited…
And in the book 2, it will be the story of the rise of the young Emperor where for sure his strongest allies will be the Hua boy cousins, I imagine there is at least 1 of the Huas that will become Military General or it could be from Gu family, maybe Yanxi and Zhi will be blessed with a boy and this time they'll be facing Northen Land again as enemy because only the spies were killed but not their Emperor nor piece talk happened so therefore the war between the 2 lands is inevitable.
Maybe I'll watch it again from the first episode it seems so short for me .
😳🥰🥺😁 in every theory or synopsis I read.
For sure chinese fans are also discussing the same things as international fans and the production is loving the hype.
Or maybe I'll just rewatch the last episode I'm sure memories will come back after watching the ending again.
