The romance pacing is better in drama version imo. I wanted more of their relationship in the novel than just a "see you when I come back". There was not even a single kiss😭

Is he related to the boy? In the novel he adopted his disabled nephew(who was paralyzed waist down) but the boy i have seen on previews could walk perfectly.
