BTW this got me thinking that someone should make a "Mr and Mrs Smith" remake with ZeeNuNew lmao. Like "Mr and Mr Smith" haha
"All right, so it's a crap marriage. I'm a mess, you're a disaster, we're both liars." [at a marriage counselling] "But ask us the sex question" "How's the sex?" *mouths* "IT'S A TEN."
Some parts of the show and all these moments with pretending to be a perfect husband, grotesque behavior while being simple idiots and them comedically pretending how they don't like each other while being married, in love and horny about one another just reminded lots of scenes from that movie. It's been recently on TV and I laughed a lot all the "honey, your aim is as bad as your cooking" and their friends fit too xD And that scene when he wanted to get rid of the girl in a restaurant reminded the "What is her name and social security number?" - "No, honey you can’t kill her." 😂 They'd seriously be perfect for this. "Was any of it true? Who the fuck was your dad giving you away at the wedding?" - "A paid actor" - "I thought I saw him on Fantasy Island" LMFAO
This is it. That's Lian and Kuea but with the action genre xD
Here I go with my essay, that hopefully no one will take too seriously. I cannot believe we got high to defend this shit.
I'm saying this as 26 years old, majored in literature , who's a pro sub translator in a group and thus have watched literally shittons of BLs since 2018. To me it's just extremely rare when some of thai actors have natural romantic chemistry on screen and none of the two look like they don't wanna be there. And being tired of all the cringe of actors who are unable or don't wanna (but wanna money) act in love, not even talking here about any (even light) intimate scenes, I'd rather watch this tbh. So what if it's dumb. And constatly watching these things with 8 gay guy friends on TG on our drunk evenings I can safely say that they also do not care for the cringe "representation" from what they call "extra-straighties" even when the plot is all intact.
And as person who enjoys stuff like "Strangers From Hell" and "Free!" the same amount for different reasons, Idk why people can't watch stuff for what it is. As in maybe not looking for some deep and logical shit in a romcom with a summary of a bad steamy romance novel. Like I personally do not get what some expected to see there honestly lol.
No one actually wants to take apart and deeply analize a romcom when they're watching it. It's literally the same genre as "10 things I hate about you", "She's all that", "Clueless", "How to lose a guy in 10 days" and etc. No one is actually watching these for characters to be logical or rational or for some not to be a temporarily asshole. Gay or not gay, genre is the same. And I do not get with the whole special treatment tbh bc let's then also cancel all hetero classic love stories too and gonna be instead of just watching a movie write essays like in "Notebook" he forced her go on a date with him even tho she said "no" several times, Rhett once forced himself on Scarlett they've had rough sex and she ended up enjoying it, in "10 things" he bet on her, also cancelled. Like is someone really watches some shit like "Pretty Woman" to write a fucking essay like "let me tell ya what's wrong with that plot"? Like we all know whats wrong with it, dear, we're not here for that. Like if some BL came out with similar plot ppl here would probably go fucking insane with how "unhealthy" its is lmao
And I get those who writes like just truthful obvious points about thus creation like "plot doesn't really exist" or" this actor clearly can't act and mccringe" or "2nd couple needs to stop filming together, someone tell them they don't have chemistry, ATP sneezing gets me going more than them touching each other's dicks", but there's suddenly a bunch here who goes batshit crazy with weird comments like "their age difference is weird" (?? 20 and 29? since when it's weird?), "he seriously can't cut an egg and doesn't know what broccoli looks like, that's so unrealistic" (lmao dude Yunlan from "Guardian"made instant noodles by pooring coffee in it for Shen Wei, Xie Lian almost kills gods with his stews and Riko in KNB threw whole onion with a peel in a curry, this is exegerated on purpose for a comedy, not for you to question the character's intelligence, you're not supposed to take it SERIOUSLY ya know) and etc. Like now all is gonna be grasping at straws to find yet another ridiculous reason to hate it just cause? Public kisses btw is also a classic romcom move.
And idk when people will get that movies and tv series are created for entertainment first and foremost, not for your kids to copy on-screen characters, their relationships and behavior. Like if you do not get what's fiction/comedy/metaphors etc I'm just afraid you'd be stupid enough to watch Moonjo killing someone who annoys him and think that thats okay with the way some of ppl watch things here lol. If you're in such age where you do not get stuff like that, then discovery channel is your only option and even tht might not be safe for you. There's a reason things tagged 18+. Cause adults won't watch it seriously. And I'm not sure why ppl in this section feel the need to explain all that (or is that teens who weren't supposed to watch it explaining it to themselves?). Cause I doubt any adult would watch spider-man and then gonna write a long comment like "thats not how science works. what if some kid watches this and then will think that you can turn into a superhero if a spider bites you".
It really reminds me of this absurdity of when I found out that Keira Knightley said on Ellen (ugh) that she won't allow her daughter to watch "The Little Mermaid" and "Cinderella" LMAO Poor baby seriously. Imagine her growing up and watching her mommy playing the main role in "Anna Karenina", where a woman kills herself bc of a love for a man. That's gonna be traumatic. Cause no one explained to her when she was a child that fiction is just fiction.
Like shit, me and my mom enjoyed watching all of these with joy including "Beauty & the Beast", I did not grew up waiting for some guy to lock me up for me to fall in true love with him. More than that I've been reading all kinds of dumb shit like "Twilight" when I was 13 and none of that affected my brain in a real life relationships department. And I've really never met one human being who was comparing his relationships or basing his relationships on some movie. Even dumb ones, they weren't that dumb.
So I really do not get why things these days can't be taken for what they are.. as in ENTERTAINMENT. BL specifically (teens here in the comment section always yell about 'representation', but from all of their yelling all I really get is that most of them not only not a part of the lgbtq+ but seems like never even encountered anyone from the community irl for them to tell them their honest opinion lol). And I know adult guys who couldn't finish UWMA, but loved this LOL.
And tbh all these lakorns with sex scenes popular not just cause of sex scenes and because horny hetero females teamed up and added all the views. It's just seriously not my words, but coming from one of my friends. If any of these pg ones could pull off natural chemistry like "1000 stars" for example, it'd be also popular, but most of those pg ones are hard to watch cause you feel uncomfortable seeing them being uncomfortable, cause it's seen that most of these guys don't even wanna touch each other. In the shows with higher ratings tho they're already casting guys who at least don't want to jump out of the window, when the other male touches them, so ofc the show itself already turns out different. And well, at least you can watch smth where you actually believe that you're watching couple who wants to be with one other, no matter how weird or "unhealthy" their relationships are. In many of others it's hard to even look at it cause they're torturing both themselves and the audience. And gay ppl also just want smth at least believable.
The thai (!!!) BLs with an actual PLOT plot and good chemistry are just extremely rare, so constantly expecting stuff like "Not Me", "Manner of Death", "1000 Stars", "Tharntype" (yesyes start yelling lol), "KinnPorche" (hopefully if it continues as it goes) is just impossible.mp3 :D
And just like I enjoy watching stuff like "Dirty Dancing", "how to lose a guy in 10 days" etc. I enjoy stuff like "Lovely writer", "Don't say no", "Cupid's last wish" too. Chemistry is great. Dumb melodramas? Love them. Misunderstandings and easily logically solvable angst for the sake of more satisfying happy ending? YAS. Light and enjoyable to watch? 100%. If it's steamy on top to enjoy with a bunch of your idiotic pervy-minded-Off-Jumpol-level of friends or fam? Double yes lmao.
It's just my personal sect opinion (lol) but watching smth dumb but with chemitry like here is far more enjoyable than watching smth that on the surface is all logical, but you can't even enjoy it cause none of the actors want to be there, just for smb to write a review like "but these relationships are healthy and it's all logical" xD
But to each their own and I know that ppl these days think differently, bc I already can't tell when they actually don't enjoy things or just enjoy the process of not enjoying anything and thus refuse to enjoy anything lol
I honestly rarely go there, cause we're too old for this and have chats, but I wish that once I could go here and not see under every series this "CAN't tHey TaLk", "UsE yOUr MOuth", "NOt CoMMuniCaTiNG is UNheAlThy"... thanks grandpa, I THINK ANY SANE HUMAN BEING KNOWS THAT!!! But some of us actually for fun enjoy unnecessary drama, just because. Lan Zhan also could've said properly to WWX why he wanted to take him to Gusu, but that'd be no fun for me, so to quote Chandler here"shut up shut up SHUT UUUUUP".
And while I'm at it here, what is with the double standarts with things you like and don't like. There's really no need to come up with some idiotic comments after that to make yourself a clown under the other drama. Like some here comment "kissing sleeping ppl is creepy" but then when it's in the show you love like "Semantic Error" (my bbs , one of my fav novel) it's alright. Here plot is ridiculous, but kids for many episodes streetfighting in 21st century cause their parents are at war for later to find out over a place at university is a great plot? yeah, okay. You either trash everything the same or just right "it's not my type of thing" and move on instead maybe. Cause some argument are hella weird.
So honestly dumb or not, I think even just acting/kissing/holding each other like they're normal couple so we could actually just watch stuff without falling out and be able to sink into the atmosphere no matter how shallow it was, is worth a lot already lol. Two guys who can finally comfortably act in an intimate scene without my guys cringing on web alone and fully believing it is a great accomplishment.
Who didn't like cause it's not their type of thing, it's fine, but really I think there's no need to go in such depth it's not exactly a psychological thriller, we all get whats wrong with it, so really save your time lol Like I don't kow what age you must be not to get that, unless ppl these days are completely dumb somehow.
Anywho Zee is treasure for BL world in my opinion. The way he holds and kisses his partners is an art. New is a new treasure haha. For some reason only these two and OffGun could impress my perverted pal Alex and his bf and idk what it says exactly about anything, but we hope to see them again haha. I'd love more plot, but anything is good really, we're not picky lmao.
P.S. Also as an editor, I must mention how beautiful is editing here, they did justice to all the romantic scenes, unlike editors of DSN for example haha (and no I won't stop trolling them). P.P.S. was my drunk gramma alright? lmao I'm gonna go, wait for my edit who knows me on YT:)
I for some reason find some comments here hilarious. Like if you “don’t like the premise” it’s fine, but coming up with some absolutely weird nonsense is too funny.
The premise of loving somebody for their soul and not body was there for a while. Like it’s clear that by the swap time he’s been in love with him for a while and knew him for a while. The fact that he takes care of him in whatever body is normal. Like the fact that Wei Wuxian is no longer in his body won’t stop Lan Zhan from loving him lol.
I’d get yelling if he fell in love with him or realized that he loved him only after he “moved” to his sister’s body or smth. That’d be not a love story for sure, but what’s so bad about this I don’t get. If his soul moved and he became a talking cat, he would indeed during the travel cooed over a cat who would hiss at him, bc he knew it’s his boo
Also really tired of some ppl’s everything is “without consent” these days, you don’t know already where to apply these words lmao stop the madness seriously and it’s usually under bl like istg if they did bl sleeping beauty ppl in the comments be like “but no one asked for his consent to kiss him in his sleep to wake him up 😂
also they even show him as him in their moments which I think is nice and I’m sure there would be no “indecency” while they’re swapped since they’re not this kind of ppl. Idk where some even got that, I mean it’s pretty clear to me what this plot is about, it’s not anything new and it’s very romcomish so idk what the fuss is all about
Like if I swapped bodies with my sister I’d freak too but I don’t see them doing anything where I’d be going like “ahhh how dare you” lol its not like Korn is pleased with situation that he has to see Lin instead of his precious angry bun, they all didn’t ask for this but they gotta work with what they got to change it. I literally do not get why ppl go like “I do not get who he’s into”. He always was and is in love with him.
Or is this the same who watch things like.. “is Belle a zoophile?” 😂🙄
It’s like each time I go into the comments of some show it’s like “oh wow this is so problematic” lol yeah literally 99% of these are if you watch it this way. “Oi Lan Zhan kissed WWX without consent” 🙄🙄🙄 lol seriously gtfo do u ever like.. enjoy watching or reading anything?
Here in the comment sections each BL is problematic somehow (even when it’s a cute dumb romcom), when literally any hetero classics are “worse” than these, ppl need to chill and stop creating problems out of thin air in fiction in general but also this particular show is so harmless that I just laugh at some here
God forbid them watch kdrama “Ghost Doctor”, everyone is using everyone’s body there with all the soul movings omg a whole field of “dubcon” LMAO
"All right, so it's a crap marriage. I'm a mess, you're a disaster, we're both liars."
