As a person whose aunt was almost beaten to death by her alcoholic cheating husband I can safely say that not all ppl want to have a rest by sitting and watching same stuff on screen. But it’s also really sad that to you that’s the only “reality”. No all people’s reality is like that lol

To me Jeng is a major asshole. I actually don’t think the source of their unhappiness is him not being out. Firstly I still don’t see what it has to do with him saying he’s single, secondly, yeah them not being able to act as a couple in public suck, but when he dropped by to “spend time with his boyfriend when he finally could” he was playing games and texting with a girl who has a crush on him. The way he brought Pok to tell the team they’re dating honestly looked more like “see what I meant when I said I didn’t want to do this, but you wanted it so here you go”. Pok just seems genuinely unhappy and it’s not about whether they’re out or not.

And I’ve said already before that I personally don’t see the point of dating someone who wants to hide all the time, but on the other hand forcing someone out if he’s not ready (and he wasn’t ready) also cringe. It’s like one have zero self-respect and lied about being okay with this, other is just selfish ass tbh.

Like there was also a clear parallel how both Joke and Jeng using “need” in the description of feelings and saying “I desperately need you.” Both today said “I can’t imagine being without you, without you I won’t survive.” But the obvious difference here is that Joke firstly thoroughly takes care of his power bank and only then charges himself (I’m sorry for such blatant metaphor but still), while Jeng just uses his accumulator when he needs without noticing that it’s dying itself. And like where Pok is supposed to take his energy from? Thin air?

JokeZo I know some ppl might not see them that way, but Joke is way too cocky and arrogant at times (I’m saying it as a number 1 fan), so he needs to be taken down a notch. Joong described him having an attitude “I want him, I got him”. It was soothed here majorly but his mind was really “just bring him to me, I’ll handle the rest”. He was 100% sure he’s gonna be his. Deeply in love or not his thoughts are fucked up. In episode 2 when Zo says he doesn’t want to try his food, Joke says “just put it in your mouth, chew and swallow”. And people here expect Zo to be like “oh that’s so sweet” and encourage this behaviour. He didn’t plan to break up with him btw, in fact he loves all of his rude personality and enjoys it, same as when joke smirked in bed and cockily told him “with me you will only feel good”. Yeah, he loves it, but Joke needs to be “slapped” at times, Zo doesn’t let him fly too high. At the same time he loves him the way he is and knows very well that he’s in charge of everything and uses it shamelessly, so their compatibility is like 300%.

In episode 4 there was an important moment when Zo said to Joke “I see you. You know, I’m not a fool. Also to me you’re a very bad liar.” And he actually even gave him 3 chances this episode to come clean before getting fully mad at him, it was Joke’s decision to proceed with lying.

I mean does Joke truly love him a LOT LOT? Yes. Does it mean stuff like “don’t worry he’s gonna be mine in 2 months” is okay? No. And saying after to Zo’s face “well, I wasn’t wrong, was I?” is definitely not the best 💀. It’s okay to teach him a lesson sometimes. That is the reason they’re so happy and balance each other so well. (Idk if anyone noticed it, but Zo’s kinda training him. When he’s a good boy, he gives him a treat like “do you want a fast charge” or “I guess I should thank you for being my boyfriend”, when he’s being a bad boy he sends him flying and I think it’s a hilarious dynamics considering most ppl in the novel are scared of Joke and find him a high maintenance ass that he technically is to almost all the people besides Zo).

I’m also confused like what Zo asking Joke to help him with Nita has to do with what Joke did? Zo asked him to teach him how to carry himself, how to behave on dates and flirt. He didn’t do anything to Nita. He was just asking an advice to how ask her on a date and where to take her, like a normal person. He didn’t pay ppl around her to lie to her, pretend to “accidentally” be in all the places she’s at, tricked her into staying alone with him and etc. And while I also personally don’t see being a huge crime stuff like him paying the resort owner to say that all rooms are taken or trashing his apartment so he couldn’t go home bc it’s late, but most ppl won’t find such behaviour normal. Same as paying someone to give you info on where you’re at and then act like “oh what a coincidence” lmao

In episode 3 he ran to Zo’s apartment bc he said he was “worried for him” and everyone went “awwwwww”. He literally went there, bc he was told that Zo was leaving and he need to hurry there asap. And that’s like only one moment that was shown lol. You just thought he was being extra thoughtful and adorable. 90% of everything was schemes.

Like literally if you rewatched previous episodes all that he did was lie. The only only truth is that he loves him too much and that he needed him to be his, bc just looking at him wasn’t enough 🌚 But the fact that feelings are genuine doesn’t make it all okay lol He’s just lucky Zo likes it, that’s all.

That’s why I said it depends on if you’re pro or con “all is fair in love and war”. Like I’ve seen stuff when someone killed peeps to be with someone and his feelings also were genuine to him, that doesn’t make it okay though lol

But I guess some see it as a very romantic dude who talks to flowers and a guy who “doesn’t reciprocate enough” 😂💀💀

I honestly can’t express how intrigued I am bc to me it’s already the mystery of the year lol. I’m gonna talk vaguely without spoilers.

So while me and my friends for fun were trying to connect puzzles of the random novel parts they left in, new script additions and this being just joongdunk with dunk actually accidentally (or not??) calling joke “joong” in bed and them leaving it be, we were discussing it altogether everywhere and discovered smth weird.

Chinese fandom mostly says that the novel is just fluffy (with what I heavily disagree), while Brazil fans say they can’t forgive Joke still (with what I also heavily disagree).

On YouTube under episodes ppl still comment how Joke is the greenest of the greeenest flags. I’ve been discussing on TG with someone who has also like me read the novel that I love Joke despite him being the manipulative slytherin and how interesting he is the way he is. To which she answered that to her novel Joke is the douchiest most insufferable character she’s ever encountered (with what I also heavily disagree). Tumblr thinks Joke is a saint and very insecure (I agree with second only).

And I know where I stand, but all in all this is just the first time I see such extremely diverse response to the same exact thing. I’m at this point just wondering how we were reading the same thing and all saw it so differently.

Now the series both kinda follows and at the same doesn’t at all follow the novel and it only adds to the brainfuck tbh.

my friend who haven’t read the novel when I told her about some details in this episode told me that it’s hard to guess so I genuinely think they make it in a way to reveal it later on. but yeah there were already things out in the open “in your face” this episode 😂 he is truly coocoo at times, I find him hella interesting in so many aspects 🌚 but I just know he will get a “toxic” stamp from mdl if they follow the canon. at first I thought they’re gonna stray away and make him a goodie here, I’m glad they didn’t, but I think they will tame him a bit still

He schemed so much this episode and no one batted an eye. I blame fake but very believable puppy eyes and Joong’s hotness lol
