i respectfully don’t agree. how can someone say her acting looks artificial when her role required so much depth? her character wasn’t just an ordinary person she was playing an aspiring actress suffering from a terminal illness, who then takes on a role as a terminally ill character within the movie they’re making. that’s literally acting within acting, layered with real emotion. her performance gave chills because she was portraying someone facing her own reality while trying to live through her passion. i get that not everyone connects the same way, but saying it lacks soul feels unfair after understanding the context of her character.
