Yang Yang's dream role, a soldier, is by far the best role he has ever played. Atleast, for me. The dedication and excitement he has/d showed for this role and project is unmatchable.
I love YangYang but Chinese military life just doesn't peek my interest... what a waste of good chemistry w YY…
Romance in this drama is completely unnecessary. The title speaks for itself. It's more like a looong documentary of Yan Po Yue's life, heavily focused on his ambitions i.e to become the best soldier, and the immense character development that this path allowed him. Romance, for YPY himself does not exceed his own desires he has in the force. It shows The Glory of Special Forces indeed.

should you watch? hell yeah. u might get REALLY frustrated at times and u might even leave it on hold for some time, but ull crave for it nd pick it up again trust me.
If anyone is considering watching this, I must advise you not to depend on the reviews and comments here. *SPOILERS* (maybe?) -To me, it was a great watch. The body/face swap wouldn't bother you much if you just create a delusion for yourself that Lusi was the original princess. -I read that the ML was super creepy to some of the audience here. For me, his charm overshadowed it hehe. Trust me, man was SO in love. The princess would've obvi k-worded if itwasn't for him ALL. THE. TIME. -Yes, the princess didn't seem like one sometimes cause of how powerless she was. She also got everyone in trouble a good 3 to 4 times. (she really wanted to take revenge/help her people.) -The 2nd FL. GAWD. She left an impact in the end but i still have absolutely NO soft spot for her.
All i wish is that the ending could've been longer.
yooo this drama was something when it came out since it's theme was pretty foreign to cdramaland. As an observant, I did find the Fl's acting pretty bad but since I was and am still a sucker for cute, fluffy and lighthearted dramas, I watched all it's airings. Yang Yang has improved massively and YAMG is a hit as deserved. I hope his looks do not overshadow his skills and that he is known more for his acting than how handsome he is. I followed the leads quite closely after their work and I honestly started to get really annoyed by zheng shuang's attitude. Anyways, as someone who's been a cdrama fan since a fetus LOL I must say that beginners would like this drama more (yky). If you are a beginner, don't judge through the reviews and just watch. The judgement is yours, you can drop it anytime.
