lol, why do you bring Netflix into it? Netflix only produces its originals and lot of Netflix are amazing... so…
Pre-Netflix was meant to refer the era before before the mass production of big-budget dramas, which often lack the charm, personality and cultural specificity of older dramas. I'm sorry, but it would never occur to me that anyone would have a problem with using the name of a multi-billion dollar corporation this way.
So far, this drama is an absolute delight. It has that pre-Netflix drama vibe β a great cast, a plot that's a little silly but thoroughly engaging, a few cringey moments, and a genuinely charming love story.
i don't know what kind of glue they were sniffing writing that last episode.... I had a great time watching this drama. definitely a new favorite! π
what is this debate about green and red flags? it's not a black or white situation, that's what this series is about. he's deeply traumatised, has a lot of unresolved childhood issues and as a result he can't express his emotions, has to control everything and treats her badly... him changing and understanding his own feelings is one of the main points. it's not about liking red flags or green flags. it's about complexity of this character. that's what makes him intriguing.
(Giving the production the biggest benefit of the doubt, throwing most logic out the window, but going based off…
I just wish they had put a bit more effort into her look after the fall. Add more blood, some leaves in her hair, torn clothes and the absurdity of this scene would have been less noticeable.
what I would like to know is the trajectory of that fall. how the hell did she survive the fall from that cliff head down.... π and where did she land that they have to search for her for hours.... i just love how absurd this scene was πππ
While I understand that some are disappointed with the change of tone in ep. 5, I personally love that this episode was told more from SaEon's perspective and we were able to see his frustration, sense of betrayal and him dealing with those emotions. The kidnapping and the mystery behind it are just a trigger for HeeJoo and SaEon to discover how much they really mean to each other, as they have been hiding these feelings for years. I think it might be a bit misleading to tag this series as a βthrillerβ before βromanceβ. Finally, for me, cliches such as - back hugs, awkward kisses, dramatic falls, are an integral part of k-dramas. I love that this drama has just the right amount of everything: amazing chemistry, mystery, action, angst and those sweet, sometimes awkward moments. It's been a long time since I've enjoyed any drama this much.
I want to see this drama in the top 10 alongside Squid Game in the upcoming weeks! I'm so glad we're back to a normal schedule. And even if the political situation is affecting viewership in Korea, this drama is already a hit internationally.
considering political situation in South Korea I'm losing hope. guys lets make sure to support and promote this drama even if the schedule gets messy ππ
i was asking about the airing schedule. i haven't seen any official info from mbc. netflix, namu.wiki and korean wikipedia all show different schedules.
let's just hope that the political situation in Korea gets resolved and there will be no protests next weekend, so the schedule goes back to normal. knowing the popularity of this show Netflix should release some youtube content during the week. that would be nice. stay strong besties!
the web novel reads like a poorly written fanfiction. i understand that people want to know what happens next, waiting is unbearable, but the novels is so bad i don't find reading it enjoyable. characters portrayed by actors are much more interesting. so i have to avoid spoilers and wait π₯π₯π₯
so far it is perfect. has the right amount of action, mystery, angst, humour and cringe. it is well acted, their chemistry is amazing. i want more! π₯
