They’re back, and my serotonin levels are thriving!
Okay listen, The Ex-Morning had me smiling, screaming, pausing to yell into the void, and then smashing the play button like nothing happened. Seeing Krist and Singto together again? ICONIC. I’ve missed this duo so much, true OG status. Their chemistry? Still criminally good. No one’s doing it like them. Period.
Now the plot? HELLO, originality! We’ve done enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, exes to enemies, but exes to co-workers? That’s fresh. That’s chaotic. That’s peak millennial mess. And I’m living for it. It gives you that weird fluttery feeling mixed with secondhand embarrassment and longing… like drinking iced coffee on an empty stomach. Unstable, but addictive.
BUT, and yes, there’s a “but” there were moments I wanted to yeet my screen. That noble idiot trope needs to go extinct. Like babe, just COMMUNICATE. A lot of the pain could’ve been avoided if certain characters used their words instead of bottling everything up like emotionally repressed soda cans. 🙃
Also, Tam’s mom? Whew. Started as a villain, lowkey redeemed herself, but still had me clenching my jaw. And Tam not speaking up when his boo was getting insulted?? I wanted to pause the episode and give him a 3-hour Ted Talk on boundaries and respect.
That said… Episode 8 had me giggling and kicking my feet. The “we’re a secret” couple energy while literally climbing all over each other in public? BE SERIOUS. 💀 Everyone saw it. Rita saw it. Nudee and Kaoki lowkey saw it too. Stealth level: zero. But cuteness level: 10000%.
Aou’s character was trash, not gonna lie. But shoutout to Aou himself for acting his butt off because I fully believed he was a walking red flag.
Last thing: Young and Kaoki… please. They still look at each other like a Lana Del Rey song. I’m begging the writers to do the right thing.
TLDR: It’s a ride. A fun, messy, lovable ride with familiar faces and fresh chaos. Support it. Watch it. Yell about it. It deserves way more hype than it’s getting. 💕👀
