JL does retain his memories 🥹 The original script was
LWY: I feel like we've met before JL: Maybe, ... in a past life LWY: You're strange JL (smiling while holding back tears): Yeah, but I will always comeback to you
She smiled at me like I was a stranger - but that was enough...because at least, in that world without memories, her smile was still the same
JL: I bought her flowers, and she gave me raspberries - we exchanged gifts like 2 people meeting for the first time, even though I had known her mu whole life."
IM CRYING AGAIN BYE 😭 JL LOVES LWY SO MUCH THAT HE DID NOT WANT TO GO BACK TO THE WORLD WHERE LWY DIDNT EXIST 😭
Q: This time, when partnering with Ju Jingyi, everyone has been praising the two of you for having great "first love chemistry." They say that the way you look at Lu Wuyi is full of caution and affection. In your opinion, which moment left the deepest impression?
A: For both me and Xiao Ju, we were fully immersed in our characters. We performed those scenes entirely from the perspective of the characters. I'd say our performance was relatively well-executed. The further the audience watches into the story, the more they will empathize with the characters. These two characters carry so much on their shoulders. They are destined for each other.
While acting in those scenes — from the initial innocence and ignorance at the very beginning, to the mutual trust and dependence that develops after going through certain hardships — we were completely immersed in the characters. I'd say there's more of a tragic romance. It might look relatively lighthearted on the surface, but all of that serves as a buildup for what comes later.
ngl, the real Chi Wen in that black attire looks evil, it just gives me the ickk (but Wang Duo looks goooood in the earlier white robes) 🤣 I prefer my JL as Chi Wen 😫
