I guess my journey with this drama ends here. There's nothing wrong with the story but there's also nothing compelling enough to keep me invested for 40 episodes. Maybe it would've worked better for me if it were shorter. Now even the ex story happened. POB handled it better by changing the story

Is anyone else obsessed with the opening theme song as well as LiU yuning OST for this drama?
I'm listening to both these songs on loop and completely hooked.

I'm devastated cause so many scenes that were essential to explain the bond between haixia and hailou is gone . Sometimes it even feels awkward especially when they're emotional like even in real life we would hug/shoulder pat our family or friends after something traumatic right? Not even that seemingly pure innocent scenes where they're eating & drinking together or riding bike is also deleted. Is the Chinese government becoming more insane day by day ? Nah Something needs to be done . I need the director's cut version after it's finished releasing or somebody with editing skills editing the scenes into the drama.

Also for people complaining about the plot holes and how things don't fully make sense... Welcome to the Daomu Biji series guys lmfao this author is just like this: very good at characters building and their angsty, full of soul relationships, but if you want a linear & logical plot or world building, give up and turn away cause this man never finished to write/explain any book properly 😂

as much as i believe people are free to rate a drama however they want, i do think reviews should come from people who actually watched a reasonable amount of it. i was looking through the reviews and noticed that quite a few of them(both positive and negative)were written after only the first few episodes. i honestly don't understand how anyone can confidently review an entire series based on such a small portion of it. a lot can change over the course of a drama: characters develop, plotlines evolve and sometimes the strongest or weakest parts come much later. first impressions are one thing, but treating them as a complete review doesn't really reflect the drama as a whole and can end up being misleading for people looking for genuine opinions

Ugh, I'm frustrated: after going on social media and seeing all the scenes they cut in the show because of censorship 😭😡 Perfectly fine scenes! Geesh, it's like showing affection with someone who's like your brother is bad and means it's gay, according to the Chinese government 🤦🏼‍♀️ Of course they're probably stricter with a show like this, because it's part of a huge IP and there are big name actors in it. But still 😡@#!
