Tbh, compared to MLs from past family dramas, this one is pretty tame. I actually feel bad for him, his GF is still mingling with the ex even if she doesn't want to admit it and is hiding the fact that she used to date him. That's kinda rough on the ML who hasn't wronged her at all. I also hate the ex (FL's brother), like don't bring your revenge on outsiders, ML has done nothing wrong to him and it's like he's rubbing the fact that he stole his potion on his face

Aside from the FL and the kid, the ML and his mother, all the rest are trash. Some might not agree with me but this is just how i'm seeing it

I'm trying to understand who's the FL that will end up with the ML here. Based on the ending song, it seems every female here is interacting with him

Tbh, i have no problems with them, but I thought if I praised everything here, I might sound biased to some people 😂

I think i'm gonna stop watching the drama starting today and wait for all episodes. I hate it when it ends on a cliffhanger (even tho I already know the events 😂). It reminds me of the pain in the past when I used to wait till they release a new episode for the donghua. Already suffering it again with soul land 2

Tbh, LOTW deserves a part 2 just for the fact that they are following the donghua. Tang san has this much chemistry with an illusion, imagine when we get the real deal. I need every moment to last the time it deserves 🥲

For people saying S1 is better and the actors there are better. Pls don't compare them as a continuation. S1 is more of a stand alone drama that has the names and the characters right but that's it. Looks, how the weapons look, how the soul beasts look, how the characters clothes look, their personalities..etc.. are different from the actual canon donghua. As a donghua fan I couldn't bring myself to like it. Land of the warriors however even with the less than ideal soul rings and decent (instead of good or great) fight scenes. They followed the donghua in everything, even the ML act and look more like the actual tang san than xiao zhan (not hating on xiao, love him and watched almost all his dramas), same case with the FL. Some think tang san became more mature than he was in s1, but the canon tang san has been mature since he was a child. And I love that they followed through with the clothes here, same case with the skills, I saw comments saying they liked the hammer in s1 but as a donghua watcher, LOTW hammer is the most canon looking one, same thing with the blue silver, the phoenix, the tiger, the rabbit skills...etc..etc..

As a donghua watcher, this season defenitly followed the events and the characters personalities way better. It's almost an exact adaptation (minus the fight scenes beinf the exact same ofc since the budget then would be diabolical)

When you watch this drama, think of S1 as its own drama instead of a prequel. S1 that started xiao zhan didn't actually follow the canon donghua, only the names and power system. That's why tang san seems more mature to you but in reality, he was always mature since childhood. If you want to know about their actual characters, I suggest watching the animated donghuas until the final tournament arc (around 100 episodes, almost 12min each) Ofc you can also skip that if you don't want to waste time since they already show some flashbacks in this season (only few tho)

I mean, I don't think there are live action dramas that can surpass their animated counter parts especially ones like soul land. But like you said, this is definitely >>> S1

I wish they add more seasons but with the same actors from this drama so the events don't feel rushed. I actually like how they went into more details like XW friendship with the 2 soul beasts

Props to the husband tbh. He always manages to get even worse with each episode, hope he suffers for all the things he's done. All his acquaintances aside from his mother are trash

All I can say is anger and feeling of betrayal. It's better to watch the episode

Something I learned about loyal couples in donghus is to never mess with their significant other cause they will get that power boost and make you regret you ever laid your hands on one of them (start to remember tang san spider form poisoning everyone when the snake lady hurt xiao)

I'm guessing you also watched the donghua. Their romantic scenes are just sooo sweet, ep 19 already was so good even tho it won't last long, but the journey and the romantic scenes are still gonna come sooner or later. I just hope we get a lot more episodes cause I can't get enough of this 😂. I love when live action dramas stay loyal to the donghua especially when it comes to soul land

I just watched both actors in s1 and land of the warriors, zhou yiran is better than xiao zhan for the role when comparing it to the donghua, look wise and character (not hating on xiao zhan, I love him and watched almost all the dramas he was a lead in)
