Something I learned about loyal couples in donghus is to never mess with their significant other cause they will get that power boost and make you regret you ever laid your hands on one of them (start to remember tang san spider form poisoning everyone when the snake lady hurt xiao)

Their romantic scenes are just sooo sweet, ep 19 already was so good even tho it won't last long, but the journey and the romantic scenes are still gonna come sooner or later. I just hope we get a lot more episodes cause I can't get enough of this 😂. I love when live action dramas stay loyal to the donghua especially when it comes to soul land

I just watched both actors in s1 and land of the warriors, zhou yiran is better than xiao zhan for the role when comparing it to the donghua, look wise and character (not hating on xiao zhan, I love him and watched almost all the dramas he was a lead in)

The animated donghua soul land 2 is a continuation. They gave birth to the butterfly goddess, she's basically a mix of the 2, very beautiful, her name is her power, her butterfly form is very strong and she can also wield the hammer. She disguised herself as a boy but the episode she revealed her true form was so majestic. Her lover is the god of emotions or something like that who also enrolled in the academy same year as her, his ice control ability is unmatched I think since he has the ice goddess and the ice empress on his side (not a harem, they are just soul beasts like the ape and the water dragon). He is very loyal like tang san and also a bit of dimwit like him as well when it comes to love. But in term of loyalty, him and tang san are top notch

The marketing team should've promoted this better tbh, I never heard news about this drama and only came across it cause I check the latest released dramas daily, the drama is very good. Also, it's a crime to make this drama only last 6 episodes. It already managed to hook me with just 2 episodes, I need way more so the events don't feel rushed and we get more depth about the characters like the drama "move"

We don't know the fate of the ML, being casted as a ML doesn't mean a happy ending, it just means they appear in all episodes. 2nd ML for example is a good guy and a potential future lover but he has way less screentime so he's categorized as a support. In most dramas like this, both wife and husband are shown as leads whether they split up or stay together

Although they show flashbacks in s2, if you want to know the past in detail and with the correct plot, i suggest watching the donghua until the tournament arc, I don't know if you like 3d animations but it's probably one of the best out there + their plot is the canon one and realted to LOTW

I won't say this is a sad ending and rather than a sad drama (who am I kidding, it is), it is also a very inspiring one with stunning performance from lin yi. He start showing symptoms around ep12 and it starts from there. There will be a misunderstanding (done on purpose by lin yi to protect his lover), but once it is resolved, the FL will do everything in her power to stay by his side. Again, I want to confirm that it is not by any means a happy ending because this sickness is uncurable but at the same time they will not show any deaths in the drama, the ML will still live by the end but he will be bed ridden

I would suggest watching the donghua instead, the 1st 100 episodes covers all the events before land of the warriors I think (they aren't as much as it seems. The s1 is different from the true story, they did the power system and names the same, but the characters seem differents. Which is why I stopped watching s1 cause I didn't like how they changed it

Technically the 1st season was the standlond drama. It had only the names and power system but the characteristics are different, I'm guessing land of the warriors is gonna be the true and correct adaptation to the donghua. It's just they will skip the training arc (i'm guessing sround 100 episodes in the donghua). But if people don't want to be confused, they can watch those episodes since they aren't long then continue with land of the warriors
