OMG!! That HUGE revelation at the end of ep 39 made my jaw drop!! Now I've got a whole new set of questions to add to my existing list of questions (which is long enough anyway)!! I know that Grandma is implicated in ~something~ to do with the parents, but I just hope it's nothing evil...pls she's too sweet I just wouldn't be able to cope with that bro ;-; And even tho I dislike Tae Min, I do feel bad with how he has had to deal with Taesan, his parents, and their crimes. He is blinded by his parents and is too proud and ignorant to even imagine that his parents could ever do anything wrong. Now, he has to clean up their bs whilst being the face of the company. However, that doesn't excuse his actions, and the way he has disregarded Tae Ho's questions and feelings is just disgusting because at the end of the day, Tae Ho is just someone who, like him, wants peace (+justice, and closure) for his parents. I rlly wonder what the camera footage shows. Did Kang Jin Bum kill them? And if he did, does the footage show this?? SORRY I'm just so confuzzled rn so I'm gonna list my questions so I can look back at them lol:
1. Hyo Shim's dad; dead or alive? Is he gonna return? Is he involved in something shady??? or even Taesan????? (I HOPE NOT) 2. What happened to Tae Ho's parents? Who is behind all of it? Why did they do it?? 3. Rift between Tae Min and Tae Ho's parents from the beginning; why? Is Grandma involved? 4. TAE MIN AND TAE HO ARE BROTHERS; How tf???? Who are the real parents????? Are they half-brothers? WTFKDSLEHfj;lkjkdl???? 5. Grandma; what did u do bro omg pls don't say she did something evil man wtf?????? 6. Is Hyo Do gonna FINALLY grow up? 7. Will Mi Rim and Hyo Jun get together? Will Hyo Jun learn to get his ass up and actually put in the work to get where he needs to be for not only his baby and Mi Rim, but also his family (Hyo Shim) who have sacrificed so much just to help him achieve his dreams?? 8. The Director dude who went to the US; will they be able to track him down and get in contact with him?? 9. Is Kang Jin Bum mentally ill?? Is Sook Hyang just using him as the face behind her crimes? Because it sure as hell sounds like she hates him.
pretty sure im forgetting some but i'll add them when i remember lol
EP 25 was the best episode by far!!! This is the mildly dramatic, slightly irritating, sometimes wholesome, but overall fun weekend drama I've been craving lmao!!! Hyo Shim stood up for herself (esp to her mum) and realised how much Tae Ho really means to her. Tae Ho is still being a cutie and is showing Hyo Shim how special she really is by showering her with love and care, and by telling her to not take crap from anyone, even if they're family. Mi Rim and Hyo Jun are busy being a funny, chaotic duo, and Tae Hee and Hyo Do are...wait wtf even are they??? lmao I don't get them/their relationship but yea lol anyways, I hope the truth about Taesan group and Tae Ho's parent's death comes out/unfolds now. I wanna know what really happened...
Also, I'm sorry but that Choi Anchor lady is pretty bad at acting. I had to hold back my laughter at her angry scenes lmao...she cute tho
SIGHHHHH. Come onnnnnn. I get that Hyo Shim is a pushover, but even after TM's creepy actions, she just puts up with it? It doesn't make sense. She was able to voice her boundaries and stand up for herself back then, and she can do it again! Why make her put up with his annoying advances??? Also, the romantic bgm?!?! like NO ONE is asking for this! Why are the writers trying to push a romantic dynamic between these two when it is clearly one-sided AND he is a creep? @Screenwriters; make it make sense.
Also, I'll admit, I like my weekend dramas with a bit of craziness here and there, but bloody hell lmao!! There are more unlikeable characters than likeable ones in this, and yet the most annoying ones get the most screentime ffs
Atp, I just want Hyo Shim to stand up for herself and be happy! It would also be good if her family (HS's MOM I'M LOOKING AT YOU) stopped being such selfish, unappreciative ppl leeching off of HS because they know that she doesn't have the heart to say "no".
I'm pretty picky with almost every other drama, but IDGAD if a weekend drama is the most frustrating, dramatic shitshow; I will watch it till the end lmaoo!! I need my weekly dose of just pure DRAMA ⁽ᵃⁿᵈ ᴴᵃ ᴶᵒᵒⁿ⁾ 😌
Despite the numerous unlikeable and annoying characters, I'm still enjoying this tbh. Yes, it's not revolutionary, and maybe i've just been missing the vibes of hectic weekend dramas lmao, but I just feel too invested in Hyo Shim and Tae Ho's lives. I just want all to go well for them both :')
Also, I hope Hyo Shim gets the support system that she deserves. Her mom is so annoying, but what's more annoying is that there are many people irl just like her mom (and even worse). They're so hard to get through, and are constantly weaponizing their emotions to manipulate and get their own way. It's frustrating, and I hope to see these ppl change into normal human beings rather than selfish brats leeching off of the only people who care for them ://////
The final scene of ep 10 had me in tears ;-; The acting is 10/10. As for the story, if the final ep wraps everything up satisfyingly, this has potential to the best drama of the year! The leads deserve all the awards (esp YKS and Yuna)!!
Ok, I think we can all agree that all of the actors & actresses are KILLING their roles, but I just have to take a moment to say that Ji Chang Wook is bloody PHENOMENAL. Holy shite. THIS is the action king that we've been missing! He better get all those big awards for his acting in this because the dude is a fricking beast!!!!
Gichul trusts Seungho because of a few things; notably Euijung, Seungho's relation to Tae Ho, and the fact that Seungho has protected and continues to protect Gichul with his own life. However, other than that, there have been way too many things about Seungho that should have alarmed him the way Jungbae was alarmed imo. Also, he has known Jungbae for 20+ years, so isn't it a bit much to let go one of your most well trusted members over this? On the other hand, Jungbae's little secret side hustle did break Gichul's trust in him, whereas Seungho has yet to betray Gichul's trust (lmaoaoaoaoa little does he know) so I guess it does make sense to kick him out...
Anyways, now that the informant is (presumably) dead, and Gichul being sus about Euijung and her past and link with Seungho, Park Junmo's cover is practically blown atp. I'm curious about how they're gonna go forward with the plan now
EDIT: lol excuse my waffling i had to spill my thoughts after ep 9 i'm gonna refer back to this before next week's ep to refresh my memory lol
This got me out of my drama slump; I'm totally hooked lol Not to mention, the cast is killing it (esp WHJ as expected)! I haven't seen JCW in a while, and his acting does not disappoint; dude is perfect for these type of crime and action dramas! Can't wait for the next ep! :D
WTF is wrong with the writer??? From using the Holocaust for a shitty, insensitive (and completely nonsensical) analogy, to quoting Trump out of ALL people...ffs. I have never been so taken aback by such blatant stupidity. Like they really wrote this dialogue, ran it through with the team, and yet NO ONE had any issues with it? Lmao what a bunch of smooth-brained pricks.
Seol In Ah!! <33 I can't wait! I know he's playing a supporting role, but I really hope Do Sang Woo's character has ~some~ prominence in this drama; he's such a good actor!
1 minute into the first episode, and I'm already sick to my stomach. The audio recordings are so, so awful ffs...I can't comprehend this atrocity. Those poor girls. I truly pray that they heal and get justice. I pray all of the victims find peace. Smh this world is sick.
Edit: the video clip of the "brides" in the bathtub should have stayed censored...we did not need to see these girls fully nude. They were taken advantage of; why broadcast this for the entire world to see? Call me sensitive or overly-critical, but this was unnecessary and distasteful imo.
