Drama and novel are going in total different track . In Novel she did tried to commit suicide by jumping in river 5 years back. But in this show so far they are showing different story . I dont think they will show anything like that.

First episode he obviously protected her,attraction and feeling between them was there.Its just they both hurted each other in the past which they cant get over it . fL is hurt because Ml told her not to come back in his life, ML is hurt because she lied to him about her identity . they both also decided to remain cordial to each other as" partner" Which is stupid thing to do.you cant move on like that,After ML came to know about CHILD, so focus shifted to caring for his SON. Feelings for each other is still there, they just dont want to admit it.

One more thing during dinner scene the dress min hui wore was super cringy and awkward. Glad xin qi requested her to change it. Its small things they are showing is doing wonder.
