i have never been big on Xu Kai,,,, i know has big popularity but i feel brings the energy levels down.... some people wonder how actresses like Yang Zi got to the top, i kinda wonder the same with Xu Kai....
Dylan i just hope doesnt make big tweeks as he has the persona people love.... He is the complete package, can sing, dance.... So exciting seeing him do dance performances with Esther.... The female leads he will be paired you will see will be doing those kind of performances with him, these are just important promoting dramas etc..... His agency made a comment lot of scripts proposals came to him last year so positive sign he is continuing that growth, when i compare him to Allen Ren & Xiao Zhan & Yang Yang at same age, Wang Hedi is well ahead in terms of lead roles and development.....

Another big however, Shen Yue dramas will get views, her fans adore her..... The potential and growth is there, dont doubt that one bit..... I have recommended so many good male leads that suit Shen Yue perfectly, i think both sets of agencies would definitely be happy to meet up at negotiating table
Again I am massive Wang Hedi fan..... I watch all his live performances, Wang Hedi/Bai Lu was always going to happen.... Wang Hedi is either just inside the top 10 or just outside for male actors in China.... The roles he is getting is better & better.... Shen Yue has stayed stagnant if I am being honest & it's not something that has happened overnight, been happening for sometime....
Wang Hedi is aiming for the best Wuxia dramas, big name female leads, he is currently in that Bai Lu/Esther/Zhao Lusi inner circle.... Shen Yue is just doing rom-coms which isn't something Wang Hedi wants to revert back to....
From what been reading I don't believe Wang Hedi agency wants him to pair up with Shen Yue.... I personally don't mind if the script is appealing, that's me....

Keep in mind, it's production teams that determine if they want certain people in the best Wuxia scripts, if Dileriba, Bai Lu, Zhao Lusi are available, they will chase after them.... For the males if Yang Yang, Leo Wu are available, they will go for them.... Wang Hedi is catching the eyes of these teams....

I am on weibo now & looking at ZDW upcoming basketball drama 'First Love Again'.. Huang Can Can is the girl for him, not XL.. I think personally I couldn't care less if he doesnt win Xu Lu over.... It's not like their characters on screen have developed such a great connection. this is lazy writing & bad acting combined.... I have said it, I have never seen Chen Duling in anything good....

I tuned in just for ZDW however what I am dissatisfied is if say it is Xu Lu that does end up with him.... Not really the story, setting, outcome to establish a power pairing.... Xu Lu character has not been one which I have liked,how many ladies in the show has she assaulted? At least 3.... Her character has progressed badly, she is dependant on other people from ep1 to finale....
ZDW will get other roles.he probably signed into this for formality reasons, I think moving forward his career is a promising one,he won't be the loser.... "First love Again" can't wait for that airing.... This guy has potential!
Tier 1 is the actors & actresses that can draw the views on their shows & sellout their live performances.... Top 10 used to be published regularly but I would say for ladies it's - Yang Mi, Yang Zi, Dileriba, Bai Lu, Zhou Lusi, Zhoa Liying Men - Leo Wu, Yang Yang, Allen Ren, Xiao Zhan, Wang Yibo
I want to put my biases aside so I'd say Wang Hedi either bottom end of the top 10 or close to breaking in.... Keep in mind it's irrelevant of popularity in other countries, just matters what happens in the mainland....
I'd say Leo Wu is more like the young Leonardo di Caprio, Xu Kai is a bit hard, only name comes to mind is Karl Urban due to colder persona.... Wang Hedi I'd say home alone type Macaulay Culkin - fun, cheeky, full of life, charismatic.... Shen Yue is tough for many reasons but maybe Drew Barrymore....
as a Wang Hedi fan I prefer him not entertain that thought.... I enjoyed Meteor Garden just for him, Shen Yue not really.... However Shen Yue is good, she was very good recently in 'Be Yourself'....

This little girl Ling Ling is annoying.... Best ending for her is just re-uniting with her mother, thats what she wants.....

If I compare say the Top 10 both men & women where I say Tier 1, that's where Shen Yue limitations are more evident. These top 10-20 do live performances.... These stars need the full package,yes SY might sing few songs but they eventually all do.... I just think SY fans get caught in rumours traps. I have seen over last 12-15 months SY be rumoured to pair with Wang Hedi, Leo Wu, Luo Yunxi, Arthur Chen.... Weibo anyone can spread a rumour next thing you know they create a page on MDL.... You just need follow the trends these stars are on.... Leo Wu & SY are trending in complete opposite directions as was Wang Hedi & Shen Yue.... It was so obvious Bai Lu was next to be Wang Hedi next drama female lead.... Leo Wu just came off his most successful drama, I think these kind of guys want to ride that momentum & all I see that guy doing is going to events with Zhao Lusi & Bai Lu....

Shen Yue needs alot of work. She is limited from what I have seen of her.... I think just getting the pairing of the Male Leads right is a start.... Second is script.... I have mentioned 2 names which I think would be excellent for Shen Yue.... These guys aren't exactly Tier 1 like say Allen Ren or Yang Yang but they are building their brand as well....both would create excitement for the viewers.... I think 'Lady of Law 2022' was very very good drama this year, also office drama however more support focus, excellent chemistry between the female leads.... 'Be Yourself 2022' actually very good sister drama 4 female leads, good score 8.2 on MDL.... "Two Conjectures about Marriage" also 2022, not such a good score, however felt like really good acting, story entertaining, both female leads and supports very good, same with male cast, the cast very likeable unlike this one....

It's 2 novels into 1 drama, well 2 combined stories into 1..... I hope you are right with the 40 episodes as alot of dialogue in the novels....
I am only watching it for Gao Zhi Ting & Wu Xuanyi but the other characters have excellent roles to play so will be good seeing how each interact as in the novels the 4 mains don't really interact, only real link is the Miles Wei character between the 2 stories....
