Yukee and Wang Hedi really setting the right tone.... Many dramas at this stage start going stale, this one is getting better....
I adore Bambi, Esther, Qin Lan.... Past Female Leads of Wang Hedi who gave 100% to the partnership as he did however Yukee is really giving these ladies a run for their money....
Next Drama.... "Never Give Up".... Chance Wang Hedi & Yukee might not be directly paired.... I hope they are....
CFY got so much more popular after Lighter & Princess. Idk if he would want to be paired with shen yue
my opinion has been this for sometime.... Shen Yue agency needs to work overtime to get certain male leads to want to commit to doing a drama with Shen Yue.... I heard that Wang Hedi agency doesn't want him to pair with her again....
Shen Yue fans might want say she pairs up with Xu Kai, Xiao Zhan, Leo Wu etc.... However the fans of these Male Stars dont want them pair up with her.... Their agency might not want it, these male leads might have other ideas too.... CFY is very well connected, his father is a major producer in China who can get big name supports into dramas.... I am sure he isn't limited to female actress talent pool either....
Just my opinion also CFY would enjoy and benefit being in a drama with SY.... I can see potential in the pairing....
debatable haha.... however wont say yes or no, i have heard this from many people so fair call.... I did enjoy Wang Hedi & Bambi together, was annoyed with all the stuffing around with Fox Spirit Matchmaker as both were to be paired again.... Bambi could of been Yukee's equal to Wang Hedi having 2 dramas together

Rumours rumours rumours rumours..... I know , that's what these MDL pages are mostly created out of, just like this one, not reliable, going nowhere. Fans get hyped up and upset when doesn't eventuate
My interpretation is there is still a power struggle happening for the thrown.... Initially they all believed he had a agenda getting close to them, showing up places he shouldn't be showing but when it's really just because he likes Wan Wan, which took them all time to figure out.... This storyline is a complicated one as the ones to take up power are not worthy of it, will become corrupt & abuse their power at any means, hence the drama title.... As per your favourite pairing, I think similar struggles but I see them playing big roles when this drama tone gets more serious
I have seen many dramas which the 2nd pairing has outperformed the first.... I like this 2nd pairing, they clearly add good value.... Whether they outperform Wang Hedi & Yukee, have to wait and see.... The third pairing adds no value at all, better just as support characters rather than a direct pairing....
Anyway who thinks this drama is light toned needs to be patience.... The darker tone is coming!.... This is a build-up, it's a 36 episode drama which is the norm now.... I have seen too many drama which pacing is off.... This one is managing just fine....
Just keep in mind we have an 'Emperor' who wants the Heroine.... He will get frustrated seeing her with the Hero.. He will take her by force & attempt to destroy the Hero with an overwhelming force, I have not read the book but it's leaning this way....

I agree, majority of dramas have 3 pairings. I find her pairing with Wang Hedi' Eunuch is a weak pairing.... Neither really adding much.... However the second pairing of The Prince & Princess Wan Wan showing potential, plenty comedic value aswell.....
This drama still has plenty of laughs.... Plenty cast pulling their weight, I feel majority of dramas just feel they need to add 2nd & 3rd pairings to dramas, just how it is....
I am watching it too, I am really enjoying it.... Wang Hedi has developed differently.... His agency obviously wanted to surround him with experienced casts & female leads that have been in big dramas in the past eg. Yukee, Qin Lan, Ireine, Bambi, Esther....
Yukee and Wang Hedi have another drama to be released in 2023 so I guess the confidence in each other is there regardless he is 24 & she is 30....
Shen Yue I keep saying plenty upside still in her.... She is 25 going on 26, still very young.... Still plenty interest coming her way....
