Either way for me scoring 1, 2 or 3 out of 10 for me makes no difference whatsoever as still a mediocre showing.... Ok, enough is enough for me. I have decided to drop this drama now. I have nothing against the cast, I adore the leads but we cant sugarcoat everything. Chapter 1 clearly the audience as per the ratings tuned in just for her & rest of the Chapters the audience have tuned out or haven't enjoyed it as much because Zhao Lusi isn't there anymore.
This drama may decline in score but doesnt impact how audience feel about Zhao Lusi as per her Compilation Chapter scores
thats the usual trend on most dramas on MDL.... starts off really high say 8.6 then gradually drops week to week.... I think from what I have seen from this drama will end up a rating of say 7.6-7.8.... Right now dont think deserves anything higher than an 8.0-8.1 unless the story becomes exceptional which it might,.... the drama story has declined if I am being honest, not much is happening and the supports story is bland aswell which has probably contributed to the drop in ratings....
I think the issue is how they write female leads in general.
Yeah most times I see FL like the Master of Ceremony type characters & see the Male Lead as the real driver of the drama, more rests on the shoulders of the male leads. This drama they haven't done SY any favours with such childish dialogue
I am not subscribed to Mango, so watching 1 episode daily on Youtube.... Today concludes the Zhao Lusi chapter.... This means once Zhao Lusi is done, so am I with the remaining drama....
Zhao Lusi is just too unique and special.... Just been such a treat watching her growth and development over the last 12 months, seeing how she has risen which is just my opinion to #1 Female Actress in China/Asia.... I can't wait for 'Hidden Love' to Premiere with Chen Zheyuan....
I'm waiting for another breakout performance from Shen Yue since ALSB. I think alot of actresses have this problem is trying to make lightning strike twice. ALSB she really owned that role, she made the name 'Chen Xiaoxi' kind of an Iconic drama character. Since then she hasnt really replicated that same brilliance. The characters she keeps playing are not allowing her to really develop on-screen, always the same cute, confused, comical type roles she plays. Her agency really needs to push for better character building roles, not let her waste these years on mediocre scripts like 'Anther Me' & 'Use For My Talent' & possible 'Mr Bad'....
Chen Zheyuan feels more fresh, has good consistent performances under his belt, promising dramas to be released including some with Zhao Lusi & other big name actresses. I feel his agency is giving him the best chance to really break out in comparison to Shen Yue agency
Seriously this drama is awesome. I am a critic you really need to impress. I have dropped so many dramas this year, I was borderline giving up on Wang An Yu, I am so happy he has signed on to do this drama under the excellent direction of 'Yi Zheng' who also directed 'Love Between Fairy&Devil'....
Omg Wang An Yu is finally evolving to someone actor at Top 10 level, before that I was saying how inconsistent he is between dramas. Give him an experienced Female Lead like Gina Jin & it will work, add a script with plenty of character development & we can see potential, see a whole cast come alive!
