Yeah, I'm delusional. Love your fun theory's such as 90% of the hype from this drama is coming from GJ fans haha.... I wonder if GJ will welcome all of Elaine, Miles Wei & Wu Xuanyi fans to contribute to the ratings.

GJ I know he is your favouirte but here are some hard truths because you need to hear it, I have only ever seen him in 1 good drama & thb is off the brilliance of Zhou Yutong, she is a super talented actress.... Rest of his dramas I would not recommend. Elaine has never been in any good dramas, I can't think of anything good she has been in....

GJ will get another hit, reason Wu Xuanyi & Gao ZhiTing. GJ & EZ I think are excellent pairing that adds stability & experience but WXY & GZT just add that uniqueness....

Too bad FSMM lost their princess in YBJ & also lost Wang Hedi.... That's the 2 charmers right there, now you 2 leads that are meant to be playing like 15 year old kids lol.... Just be greatful this drama has a Princess & a Charismatic Male actor in it!

Chen Zheyuan has upcoming dramas with Zhao Lusi, Wu Xuanyi & Ju Jingyi. I am confident the networks would space out their dramas so why not this one?

Its called a Mirror, so my advice long walk short pier. OK that's fine you are a Gong Jun fan, you have to accept there is other fan bases out in Chinese drama land, for some this drama people are not necessarily tuning in for your actor, they might be like myself & tuning in for other actors. You can make an argument for your favouirte without talking down on other casts

BTW I am sure Gong Jun in secret prefers this drama than the disaster he is currently filming now, hence why I left the discussions.... Once the Sassy Princess & Wang Hedi left that production, it had lost the entire charm....

That's fine we can both make arguments to & from on our personal preferences.... The long & short this is high anticipated drama because popularity number of actors in this drama have, not just one....

OK let my delusional mind make an argument for Gong Jun.... I am sure he likes the idea of Wu Xuanyi, Miles Wei being in his drama. End of the day he also wants their fan bases to tune in, end of the day Gong Jun wants to make his network money & get maximum amount of views, he also wants to expand his fan base with WXY fan base, true?.... You make it sound like everyone benefits from GJ when reality is everyone involved has a profile & each brings value to the project....

I actually prefer Gao ZhiTing over Gong Jun however I know GJ profile is much superior to that of GZT.... I am more excited about the GZT/WXY pairing, I think the qualities they bring to the drama are more unique to that of Gong Jun & Elaine Zhong.... I also think the producers share my same opinion & no accident this pairing was made.... They are pairing a fun charismatic Male Actor 'GZT' with a Princess, how can this go wrong?....

Yer standard crime drama endings. Good guys always win

Johnny Huang must think he is the Chinese Stallone or Van Damme. This drama & his last drama 'My Dear Gaurdian' trying to be the Hero has in my opinion done the absolute reverse. The female leads assigned to him are also feeling that impact, Li Qin I wasn't left wanting to see more from.

Tony Yang & Yang Shu for me the real stars of the show. Seriously lessons learnt just like 'My Dear Gaurdian'.... These genres don't make the bad guys 'Main Leads'.... They will outperform the good guys & the audience will cheer the bad guys in the end.... 2 strikes for Johnny Huang....

I have seen plenty crime drama executed perfectly.... 'Stealth Walker' if you haven't watched check it out... Brilliant performance by the female lead 'Lin Peng'.... Second Male Lead 'Li Ze Feng' excellent as 2nd Male Lead I then tuned into his shows.... If you want the audience to support the Police, make the bad guys uncharismstic & evil.... Make the good guys charismatic.... The script for Chasing the Undercurrent was also boring

I am saying the script should of allowed both Tony Yang & Yang shu the female villain to get away.... I thought both were the stars of the show

I was so pissed off with the ending.... They could of executed it in a way that Johnny plus the bad guys all win but this way all lost.... Johnny got outperformed....

Honestly i was supporting Tony Yang & actress Yang Shu so much, why bother? As you said result so predictable.

This was same tragedy in 'My Dear Gaurdian'.... I have watched crime dramas perfectly executed. In a way I am kind of put off by Johnny Huang

The ending was a dissapoinment. They could of brought down the organisation yet the bad guys get away.... They seriously built up the charisma of the villains for this to happen.

I believe WXY & GJ fan bases close to on-par. Don't just compare dramas, you need to compare the whole package. You don't live in the Mainland, you only get exposed to what 5% really goes on there. WXY is also a live performer. That what she has in common with Yang Zi, Wang Yibo, Xiao Zhan. Big performers!

Your favourite drama fox spirit matchmaker, rumour was they were calling WXY for that 2nd female Lead role at one stage.

I don't think Wu Xuanyi would waste her time on bad scripts. If she has signed in is because she has been promised good screentime. WXY yes is the princess type but these Dramas need a Princess in the cast. GZT as her Male pair, he signed on obviously because WXY is his biggest profile female lead (ever).... He has over scored, & bonus he gets to protect her in the drama!.... Read the prequel about their storyline, seriously it's brilliant

I get that. I have watched 7 episodes & still haven't dropped the drama so they are doing something right

I am looking forward to the ending... look its a long drama.... this drama is reminding me alot of Johnny Huang last drama "My Dear Guardian"....

40 Episodes, slow burn however late it picks up.... My only only only wish is for the bad guys to get a good ending just like i wished for 'My Dear Guardian'.... That drama had very sad incomplete ending.

Johnny is an amazing actor however he needs to have proper discussions with his agency regarding the scripts he is getting.... lot of his dramas could really be scaled back to 24 episodes

I will watch the ending but honestly wish i get the closer I want.... This would definitely redeem this drama. Johnny is amazing the fact that he can keep audience watching his shows even when the scripts are pretty poor!
