yess you are right, it depends on which dramas will air at the same time. That's why if one wants to be on top, one should not have numerous weakness or flaws (which i mentioned earlier)
A drama can have some hype at the beginning because of huge fandom/fanbase, promotion or production but at the end the story is paramount and will decide the fate of the drama in the long run.
so let's wait if everything will be on ✅ with a good directing ( by the way the Female annoyingness in drams ,is always the director's doing 😂 😂 😆 not the FL's)

A drama could have its way to balance things , and still be a female centric one( or the opposite) I will take HMH's dramas as example since they are fresh in my head:
- I 've watched "Glory" i didn't read the hashtag, but it seems to me it's a Female centric: *The FL obviously holds the upper hand, she is the heir (called the "Tea King" if i remember it well) *The ML had been a renowned official court, but lost his memory and became her servant. But still he was cunning, very intellect, and he stood out among everyone, scheming and he had shined even with this apparently weakness. And the screen time was well balanced
- I've watched "The unclouded soul" by deduction i knew it was a Female centric too. I was shocked, i haven't seen the ML for 2 or 3 episodes in a row 👀👀 they added some fillings that didn't add something to the script. You know what i'am saying? I almost dropped it but fortunately i didn't and they changed it and the story happen to get better.
- Not to mention about "Love in the clouds" which is well regulated ( i don't even know if it's a FL or ML centric: it's really blurry 👏👏👏 i love it ) just look at the rating here, and in China, it went very well too.
- ⛑️ ⛔️ ⚠️ Edit: and "A girl like me" even the tittle shows it's a female centric 😃 😄 (i am still watching it), we can't miss this one 😅 * FL is strong, martial artist: when it comes to physical strength the FL usually saves the ML ( though i think the ML hides some skills) * ML, when it comes to court, he usually saves FL and her family And of course the screen time is well balanced

- The screen time should be well-regulated, especially when it comes to both leads, no matter their cash - Their strength and cleverness need to be equal at least, or complementary. What i mean by that? One lead shouldn't always save the other out of weakness or anything which would be tiring. They need to work together, join hand as a power team
And i hoooooope the FL won't be too annoying 🥲🥲, you know already, we are in C-dramaland and some directors can go very hard on it, with the angst on making the FL so irritating with all kind of misunderstandings or something. Of course we are in a xianxia , so we need angst, but the right amount would be fantastic.
Anyway, it will be great if they handle things well
