That conversation was not there in that scene with Cai Zhao but he said that while talking to Uncle Cheng(referring her ofc) after he used his inner power to save her.

What the hell bro?! You actually watched everything and you're saying something so stupid? Like no offense to you but what did you watch all this time. It was mentioned from the first episode I think that Cai Pingshu used the disintegration method that Lord Yin Dai taught her to kill Nie Hengcheng. It was a forbidden skill because it instantly killed the victim and also slowly killed the user of such skill. Meaning, Cai Pingshu, the user would die slowly and painfully because she used the disintegration method(acc to the drama, she died after 13 years) and Nie Hengcheng, the victim died instantly on Mount Tu. Originally Nie Hengcheng was supposed to die within 3 years because even though he was acquiring the ziwei method, he didn't know that he also needed his bloodline's internal power. Cai Pingshu didn't want to wait and watch for 3 years until Now Hengcheng dies because of all the people he might kill during that period. That's what Cai Zhao meant when she said that her aunt once said there were two kinds of evil people- one who did evil stuff and the other who stood by and watched the one doing evil without trying to stop him. Mu Zhengyang was the one who helped Nie Hengcheng to acquire the ziwei method but conveniently left out the portion of needing a bloodline too so that Nie Hengcheng will die in 3 years and he can be in power and be the Chief of Li Sect after that. But around the time when he(Mu Zhengyang) and Cai Pingshu married, Cai Pingshu and six other martial artists(her friends-totally 7) mastered the big dipper formation to kill Nie Hengcheng. If they were able to kill Nie Hengcheng, Mu Zhengyang realised that he will never get power nor be able to be the Chief of Li Sect so he ambushed the others when Cai Pingshu was not there and killed 5 of them. Lu Chengnan from the Li Sect(disciple of Nie Hengcheng who tried to take the jade sunflower and who Nie Hengcheng almost killed) went to Cai Pingshu and told her about Mu Zhengyang's ambush. Cai Pingshu heartbroken over her husband killing most of her friends, went and killed him and avenged their death. By the way, Mu Zhengyang too intended to practice ziwei method for power and that's why he went again to take the night orchid from blood marsh forest and also tried to take Mu Qingyan as the bloodline that he needed( this is understood when Mu Qingyan reveals in one of the last episodes to Cai Zhao that his dad had tried to protect him from Mu Zhengyang). He already had the jade sunflower and saliva they previously collected from the snowy mountains. But ofcourse it didn't work out as he was killed by Cai Pingshu way before that. I hope you have understood everything by now!

Ohh okayy..many people in the previous comments kept on talking/cribbing about how this is such a bad drama without even giving it a reasonable opportunity. Like I was so done when I saw many of the hate comments were by people who only watched the 1st episode or those who didn't watch and just read the reviews . That's why I thought this guy was also just complaining without watching it.

Uff please. Zhou Yiran's my favourite actor too and his acting is top notch as usual but to put down Bao Shengnan for that is just stupid and petty behaviour. One, that is how her character is, the good people of the righteous sect are generally those who follow the rules and fight for their own sect. It was known from the beginning that all she wanted was a carefree life because of how all the previous women of Luoying valley ended up. All of the times Mu Qingyan got close to her were always part of his schemes even if he was genuinely obsessed with her. But all of the times she defended him with her life and went against everyone she loved when he was captured in Qingyue sect was because she really loved him. She was ready to sacrifice the life and people she'd known up until then but even that was part of his schemes to see if she would do that for him. Even after all this, she again told him in this episode that they can start fresh if he stops pursuing the ziwei method. Now you'll probably ask why she asked him to stop that🙂. If you don't know it yet, ziwei method requires causing a lot of harm including sacrificing the life of a blood relative and the one who practices it can only live upto 3 years or so after that. She obviously doesn't want him to do that much harm to himself and others. So portraying that she's stupid since she knows he's a grey character but gets mad when he's not doing good things is itself stupid!( No offense)

Yhh but thankfully in today's episode she was ready to accept him if he gave up pursuing the ziwei method and he went to luoying valley to propose but yeah the acceptance won't be easy I guess. She would still have to consider the opinions of people she cares about 🙂

Exactly. Only she has a choice of continuing in the righteous sect(and be the obedient woman she's expected to be) or following Mu Qingyan and leading a life with him in the demon sect/completely out of jianghu . The demon sect led by Mu Qingyan will accept her but the righteous sect would never accept him so he won't be able to come there with her.... atleast up until now it's not possible for him to be accepted by them.
