I know why this one is getting so many negative opinions... For me too it's very far from what I spected (the…
Thats not it… the main problem that most feel is the lack of chemistry between the leads, their romance story seems ‘beautiful’ and all on the surface but its like so shallow, there was no proper progression or depth in the romance, its all based on their childhood incident. Like after chun ki realises who is ha ram, they just “instantly” becomes deep in love with one another, sobbing for one another, its almost like paper explanation and superficial, it doesn’t hit well with many people and so the lack of connection between the leads which almost seems like they are not acting together. Therefore, the audience naturally turns to the story which literally stagnants (epi 7-12), nothing really truly happens after the painting contest arc, it’s MOSTLY about the characters discovering the demon king (which we already knew) and talking about the demon king/painting. For binge watchers it is probably okay but for people who are catching week by week it is almost a torture if im being harsh with the weak romance and “zero” story progression. Well episode 13-14 was a good improvement tho compared to the previous few episodes and it was entertaining at least, hopefully they will end it well.
I’m not sure if this is a right comparison, but how does this fares/compares against My Name that was recently released as well? I am planning to watch this since the series is ending and I know that Namgoong Min is a really good actor from his shows such as Hot Stove League, Awaken and Doctor Prisoner.
Sooooo draggy… scenes mainly consists of Chun Ki crying or painting and everyone talking about the demon king but nothing actually happening for so many episodes. Ridiculous, what a waste of talented cast.
Masterpiece. Watch it now. Just the first 5 mins of the movie and it managed to pull me into the story. Great acting, camerawork and screenplay. Literally one of the best movies I’ve seen.
I love it so far, so imo it's 100% worth watching. I definitely enjoy it more than homecha.
Just finished episode 1 and i’m loving it so far. I’m surprised by Da Li’s visual, didn’t know she was so enchanting and I’m loving her charming personality as well. And I think I can finally distinguish between Kim Min Jae and Yeo Jin Goo now after watching this haha.
Maybe it will be an eternal mystery. I can’t imagine that in the last 2 episodes, the lottery story is necessary.…
Yep not really important in the grand scheme i guess, unless Doo Shik won the money and used it to support the families of those that he “harmed?” but not really possible i guess since he mentioned that he wasn’t in town when the lottery was won (unless Gam Ri grandma won it and used it to help Doo Shik), well i’m getting too far-fetched.
Yep i get what you mean but there are chances that it might gets draggy as well if they do it in ep 11,12. Furthermore…
Good point! Totally agree on this one, I also think that village chief’s story is longer than expected. I think it would be better even if they focus on Ji PD and Writer Wang relationship haha. Now that you say it, it does feels abit of a pity but oh well, we shall see how it goes for the last 2 episodes.
Actually loved that it seems darker than I expected. It is a healing drama. The darker the show, the better the healing. Embracing the darkness is always the best.
I liked ep 14 . But I feel they should have placed This in ep 11,12 instead of 13,14 . This could have added so…
Yep i get what you mean but there are chances that it might gets draggy as well if they do it in ep 11,12. Furthermore i really liked the impact ep 14 has and it might not be as good if they do it step by step. What we are most likely worried is that the wrapping up could be rushed but we wouldn’t know yet, since so far all the scenes are cleverly written and placed. Screenplay is great so i doubt it will be bad (I hope it will not be bad).
