I usually find my enjoyment of zombies tropes limited as how good can it get? But this is really good so far and im surprisingly liking it alot. Glad I didn’t miss out on this one this year.
hm I do wonder if Kyung Ho had planned to die like this or if that was a miscalculation of his. And I would have…
I think he actually planned to die like this. I mean if CHI chooses to get his memory erased then what next? What is the so called end of the future? I think the future really means that Kyung Ho subtly forcing CHI to shoot him in a really smart way since CHI can’t kill himself under hypnotism and can only kill himself AFTER killing his own daughter, so he will be tortured by the hallucinations in prison forever and that is probably the best revenge for Kyung Ho. The question I’m more interested is actually why did Kyung Ho give himself up to the police in the first place? Did i miss something about this? Or is it maybe Kyung Ho experiences his own sort of hallucinations as well (so just like CHI, being in prison disables him from killing his loved one aka Jae young/Jung Hyun(?)?) idk man.
Wow. This was surprisingly good. Definitely the most underrated show I've seen in 2021. Exceptional acting and directing. Story is great and executed well, tho you might see combinations of similar elements/ideas/events that are in different shows/mangas/irl. Have plenty of subtle details, and I'm planning to rewatch it someday to catch it. It is definitely not a show for everyone as it can be abit slow and complicated but give it a try if you can. Worth my time.
Despite all the hell that broke loose and the conflicts + seemingly too many "villain" characters, I'm actually enjoying this somehow (?), idk I was really engrossed in the scenes/dialogues i guess if you know what i mean, the family scene was exceptionally great to me.
Jang Tae Jin officially wins the scummiest ex bf award, gg can't top that. And Moo Hak's dialogues are written so well, I'm becoming a huge fan of his acting man.
okay with what you said about CGI… but your “so far” literally consists of only 2 epi? idk how impressive…
You wrote it along with the same sentence about the writing so i naturally thought that you implied it as a “criticism”. Well fair enough if you said it was a statement. I’ll take it as a stand-alone statement with no context itself. And yea it’s up to you to see the story that way.
The CGI is a huge turn off. It's supposed to be a big budget drama, where tf did all the money go then?? The writing…
okay with what you said about CGI… but your “so far” literally consists of only 2 epi? idk how impressive you want it to be but story is at least promising for now and im sure the screenwriter knows what she’s doing and has her own ideas, it’s way too early to say the script is not substantial.
Overall a disappointing show and mediocre at best even with the good ending... Started off quite well but goes way downhill midway, a poorly executed script that make the story seems bland even though it was supposed to be somewhat fresh. As what Ahn Hyo Seop has mentioned, a blind role is extremely difficult to act since you have to pretend that you can't see irl when in fact you can and has to gaze somewhere off. Not his fault but personally I think this is probably one of the reasons why I couldn't vibe with the OTP chemistry throughout since he wasn't able to be as expressive with his eyes (realized this in the last episode). Well good effort from the casts tho.
This has huge potential so far, promising and intriguing... just give it some time to build its characters and story. Didn’t have any problem with camerawork/cgi for me. Looking forward to the next episode.
Pretty good and interesting/gripping in the 1st half, kinda lost interest near the end probably due to many plot "twists" that fell short and the lack of depth of some characters. Also, I noticed they like overuse morse code? Overall an okay watch for me. Great acting by Namgoong Min as always.
Didn't notice both JJH charms in their previous works but they are looking smokin in this one, becoming a fan. Good start so far and what a stellar lineup of casts. Also, am I the only one who is interested in their behind-the-scenes as well? haha
Thats not it… the main problem that most feel is the lack of chemistry between the leads, their romance story…
Yea i understand what you are saying and im definitely okay with it not being realistic since its a kdrama but the thing im talking about is that the chemistry between them seems really weak to me personally. Like what you have mentioned, everything you said makes the connection seems potent and beautiful when written out but it just doesn’t translates as well in their interactions for me. I get immersed easily and it is rare for me not to feel the connection between the leads (and i really tried), and its not like im skipping any scenes or fast-forwarding at all. I tried to vibe with their loveline but something just fall short of it. Well it is just my opinion… i guess people who vibe with their romance will probably like the show more and thats why those episodes that seemingly have no story progression doesn’t seems as dull. No hate for both of them tho, really liked Kim Yoo Jung in Love in the Moonlight and Ahn Hyo Seop in Dr Romantic 2.
