I love this show I have to say that the king should be killed or removed earlier, he was very frustrating, i didn't like the fact that he made it to the last episode
Adding to my earlier thoughts, it's truly refreshing to encounter a FL who is competent, not less affluent than the ML, equally, and definitely more appealing. It feels like a stark departure from the often fanciful narratives screenwriters sell to young women: the notion that if you're not conventionally attractive, lack intelligence, come from a poorer background, have low IQ, possess no talents, and are essentially a bore, worry not—for the rich, cold, handsome, and talented CEO will forsake all women of his standing to choose you, simply because the series' director wills it.
For once, we have a FL who truly deserves to be loved—not just for being "different" in the clichéd sense—where her uniqueness stems from accidentally spilling coffee on the ML, making countless mistakes at work, or constantly needing someone to bail her out of trouble. but because she has talent, beauty, character. This time, I don't find myself wanting to strangle the proverbial "silly unit cell FL" out of frustration. Instead, I'm genuinely happy for her. This portrayal is a breath of fresh air, showing that true love isn't about compensating for one's deficiencies with someone else's strengths, but about mutual respect, admiration, and equality. Finally, a drama that respects its female lead as much as its male lead, presenting a relationship based on mutual respect and admiration.
Now at episode 11, there's a particular aspect that relentlessly captures my thoughts—the dynamic between the ML and the FL . What stands out to me is the ML's attentiveness. This kind of genuine care in romance strikes me as far more romantic and sexy than the archetype of the cold, aloof CEO who feigns interest by delegating tasks to an assistant—be it sending flowers, securing apartments, or vanquishing the FL's adversaries—all through the power of wealth and delegation. Such characters, in my eyes, lose all value without their fortune.
In stark contrast, the ML of this series, while not wealthy up to EP 11, showcases a profound attentiveness and helpfulness towards the FL that he adores. His gestures are simple yet deeply meaningful—booking taxis, preparing a toothbrush for her in the morning, striving to be his best self around her, openly expressing his feelings without arrogance or superiority, and most importantly, sharing his time, limited resources, and undivided attention. This authenticity makes him incredibly alluring and romantic. The ML is a true gentleman, embodying qualities of warmth and equality rather than waiting dozens of episodes to acknowledge his love for the FL and finally stepping down from his pedestal.
And let's not overlook the FL—charming, smart, confident, and modestly shy, steering clear of the frustrating tropes of heroines who falter throughout the series. This drama does an exceptional job of portraying a balanced, respectful, and genuinely loving relationship that's refreshing to witness. Kudos to the creators—I'm eagerly looking forward to seeing how this beautiful story unfolds to the very end.
This is the best 2022 drama imo. The acting is out of this world. The bromance is very good. I can't believe I'm saying this about a high school drama since I don't usually like this kind of set-up.
GNT is now a red flag for me, texting your dead gf?! "Giving" the person you love to another man bc of guilt ? What's going on in your head. I see you coming all the ppl talking about PTSD, if someone is ill, I advise him to go see a doctor and get help by professional, I'm not gonna fall in love with him.
GNT mom, CX dad, Shifu Xie and SS really needs to make a group to crack GNT stubborness
At this point I don't even want CX to be with him honestly. If he needs that much effort from her and everyone else to admit his feelings, he better not admit them.
I would never fall in love with someone like GNT in real world, I think CX deserves better . She is strong and so energetic and alive, he's absorbing all her energy with his negativity and fear.
I can't stand death and tragedy
I have to say that the king should be killed or removed earlier, he was very frustrating, i didn't like the fact that he made it to the last episode
