Can bai jing ting please feature in another historical drama already, I need to see more of him in costumes dramas, apparently he’s only featured in destined and new life begins and also in a guest -support role in rise of phoenixes. He rocks in most of his historical dramas I’m not usually a fan of fantasy dramas but at this stage if it has BJT in it I certainly won’t mind

Also Wang xin yue and zhao Qing too , for the third time. They were together in , scent of time , the double and now this.

Some characters I respected towards the final eps , I respected concubine li dying for her love , I also respected the duke su ‘s grandfather the scenes where he went to save his grand daughter in law, lol.

Wanning ah wanning, no ending could be better than the one she had, very satisfying . Karma still caught up with her in the end.

The airing date changed to 22nd again , ughh!

But one question, why does jiang li only wear the same color or set of clothes , I mean i know they want us to see her as someone who likes to dress plainly but it’s too plain it’s starting to hurt my eyes

The color code signifies ranking , and their standing position in court, the higher officials are closer to the emperor and the lower ones are farther behind. As for the color , those in purple are 3rd rank officials and above whether the are scholarly officials or military’s, those in red are in the fourth and fifth rank and those in green are from 6th rank and below.

what a refreshing drama!
I enjoyed every bit of it, mostly the fact that Hua Zhi made her mark in the imperial city, and now every member of the Hua family is making exploits in their own way, even the servants, except for Baoxia , lol

something in me has always suspected that the sixth prince would become the emperor, right from the scene when the father made that mark on his forehead disowning him., also , with scenes showing us his character development both in wisdom and in empathy.

also series like this where you have clear age disparities between heirs, with ambitious adult heirs and an overly suspicious emperor, it's always the ones you least expect that gets the throne in the end

I'm on ep 37 now, on the scene where the emperor passed a decree to the Hua family after Hua Zhi just fainted, that emperor is such a bully, i mean in all my years of C-drama experience, i don't think I've seen any emperor abuse their power in such a way before, they all abuse alright but not in this kind of way, is he that idle!?, ..God I'm so furious right now!

this is such a great story, quite different from all the reborn stories I've seen, I'm glad the lord's (jajo) efforts and patience paid off in the end, episode 30 got to me, especially when she just realized she confused her dream with reality and her loss remain lost , mehnn!,

no, i think it's more or less like she was a hidden baby probably swapped at birth or something. something about her real mother being an unfavored concubine that was killed by the empress and she was secretly sent out of the palace by the empress dowager

sure that first madam is not capable of orchestrating a prank , let alone be a cheater. as dumb as her character was portrayed , there's no way she could have found out if Hua Zhi was actually swapped at birth

hmmmm, well I saw a spoiler on YouTube saying Hua Zhi was not the daughter of the Hua family but of royal descent, i don't know how true that is
but then again I saw one of the teasers where she dressed so luxuriously looking more like someone from a royal family, so I'm rather suspicious of the FL's ancestry than the ML's
