See? That's the way the world works, but I doubt I'll ever stop watching BLs. Now, I'm giving GLs a go. I started with 23.5 and I loved ep 1. We'll see how that goes.

There are a lot esp JBLs. But honestly, I have been struggling to watch anything new lately after my favourite BLs all ended. The only ones I'm watching and hyped about is this one and 1000yrs old.

Exactly. This was how I got into BL late 2022. All the Kdramas, Jdramas and Cdramas lost their appeal. Plots were suddenly similar, same pattern e.t.c. I felt lost and listless. Somehow, I allowed myself watch a mlm show from VIKI, something I never gave a thought to before.

Or the weak one who resists so much at first, rejects the advances but enjoys the perks that comes with it, only to end up , having drunk sex with the pursuer, cries in denial the next morning but magically falls in love after losing their virginity.

Shows definitely gloss over a lot of things. Remember that most BLs tries to fit boyslove into a heteronormative style of "husband and wife" with lots of stereotypes. So they are always compatible in shows. Real life should be way different.
