Very disappointed with the drama. Too many illogical moments and the writing was very unnatural. The action scenes made me laugh because Go Min Si looks like a twig. Go Min Si was very beautiful in her different outfits but her character was too ridiculous that I did not enjoy her performance as I hoped. I also feel so pitiful for the actors because they were phenomenal. I really liked Kim Yoon Seok's acting but his character was annoying too. The cinematography was so beautiful. Music was good enough. What a shame. Everything was on point except for the bad writing. SK dramas are disappointing these days.

LOL. Look up what "habitual" and "sensational," or "sensationalism" in this context, mean. Ordinary marriage announcements are sensational gossip? You clearly have no idea what either words mean nor how they are used ordinarily. A "sensational" performance and film is not the same as a "sensational" news piece...

Regarding the Billy analogy: First, I wrote, "It is only if Billy hid this fact and others share it without his consent," which covers your retarded scenario. Second, did the agency or the celebrities reveal the information behind the celebrities' backs? LMAO. What a moronic take.

Criterion Collection is not a film database; it's a licensing and distribution site. That's like saying MDL should strive to be like NetFlix. Additionally, both the AFI Catalog and BFI Screenonline are federally funded non-profits. So, thanks for making my point, dumbass.

This will be my last response. I'm clearly speaking to a troll or an idiot.

You're intentionally using vague language so there is a possibility that I and everyone else who reads your post might "misunderstand" you, but I doubt you have something substantial to say. If you do, provide direct examples so that the "miscommunication" is close to impossible.

Yet, from your list, all your highly rated is NOT slowly paced and all the less than stellar scores are the slower paced dramas... Sure, you might not have put all your favorite films up there, but it does confirm the claim that you prefer faster paced films, which, again, is a you-problem.
edit: lol you literally give classics like Misaeng, It's Okay, It's Love, Dong Yi, Six Flying Dragon and Jewel in the Palace or movies like Hero a 4.5 - 6.5, but you give dramas like Healer and CLOY a 9-10. This is clearly a you-problem...

"Gossip isn't necessarily unverified, speculative, negative or neutral. It's personal information or rumors about others that are sometimes true, positive or celebratory, such as rumors about celebrities getting married or achieving success"
Okay? What does any of that have to do with what I said about agency and the celebrities, themselves, OFFICIALLY reporting the news? Is that "gossip" in any shape or form of how it's used? What is this nonsensical selective hearing that's constant throughout your post.

"Comparing MDL to BBC, NBC or IMDB is an ignorant comparison. These platforms have different purposes and audiences. IMDB's focus is on providing information about movies, TV shows, and celebrities. MDL's focus is on Asian dramas and movies. MDL should strive to maintain a higher standard than IMDB"
Because just like IMDB, MDL is a film database. But again, what's with the selective hearing? Do you have the memory and attention span of a goldfish or something? Why do you think MDL should strive to have a higher standard than NOT JUST IMDB, but major news platforms like BBC and NBC, as I've stated in my previous post??? The only standard your shitty criteria fits is government organized databases for films, which is definitely not the bar MDL should set its standards toward lmao - otherwise there wouldn't even be comment sections.

"The traditional distinction between gossip and news isn't applicable in today's media landscape. Any news related to the private lives of others that enters the public domain is a form of gossip"
Find me a single definition of "gossip" for any Dictionary where it states anything remotely similar to "private lives of others that enter public domain is considered 'gossip.'" This means any criminal activity, any court rulings, any achievements, accolades, etc. WILL ALL FALL UNDER GOSSIP unless it is directly related to the public figures' occupation. You are a complete moron who's either being disingenuous or deluding yourself. Gossip is most frequently used with UNVERIFIED, UNCONFIRMED information disseminated as truth, typically with a negative connotation (something displeasing or disrespectful to the individual). There is not a single instance where something factually stated by the individual, is also beneficial and positive for the individual, and has garnered public interest will EVER be considered "gossip."
Here's an analogy for your thick skull. If, say, Billy makes a social media post about getting into Harvard and friends and family start informing others about Billy's acceptance to Harvard - that is NOT gossip IN ANY SENSE OF HOW WE USE THIS TERM. It is only if Billy hid this fact and others share it without his consent, if people made up the information, or if they provide additional context to his acceptance that isn't corroborated (or even if it is corroborated, yet it affects him negatively), that we would think the content is "gossip." However, if it's simply congratulating him in reference to his post then that is NOT GOSSIP; that is simply "news" about Billy.

As of my writing, in your watchlist, you do not have a single non-romance drama or movie that are exceptionally rated which also has what is relatively considered slow-burn paced. In fact, most of your dramas are fast paced or dramatic except My Mister. Dramas that are almost universally beloved by older audiences such as Signal, Prison Playbook, and Mother, which do have a relatively slower pace, you give them 8.5s, while dramas with faster pace or highly emotionally charged and dramatic dramas such as 1 Litre, Sky Castle, CLOY, Healer, and WFKBJ you give them 10s and 9s... If the latter is what you define as great pacing, then I will confidently say the problem is a you-problem.

The slow atmospheric shots also served an artistic purpose... As I said, the color and juxtaposition of previous shots give us thematic changes to the story. For example, do you really think it's just a mere coincidence that the betrayal happened during winter? And the births of the children take place in spring? What do seasons normally represent? Now apply this concept with the colors. Yet, you're claiming this "overwrote" their artistic purpose??? How? What sort of artistic purpose did this overwrite? Sounds more like you just didn't like the slower shots, which is fine, but don't gloss it over as a technical issue unless you can point out what the technical flaws were.

The user clearly has never touched a newspaper because if they see what sort of news is reported under "entertainment," they'd be flabbergasted what is typically accepted even outside of tabloids.

"Gossip is the circulation of rumors and personal information about others. The initial "dating" or "marriage" information that came directly from the celebrities or their companies takes on the qualities of gossip once it's disseminated and discussed among fans"

You are talking out your ass. By this logic, any reported news, once it reaches the public, becomes classified as "gossip." Gossip is usually unverified, speculative pieces, and often with a negative or neutral connotation. If the agency and celebrity directly announce the news, it becomes "news" and appropriate under "entertainment or celebrity news." Furthermore, what you deem as "gossip," or news about celebrity's personal lives, is commonly reported under entertainment news for ordinary broadcasting services in any country. So, it's bizarre you want MDL to organize this even further than what is expected from a regular broadcasting channel, such as BBC or NBC, which cover even celebrity divorces. The only organization that would take such a staunch view is some sort of government organized database service or sites that do not have celebrity news at all. Even IMDB issues these sort of coverage under their celebrity news. And it is far more lax with their content than MDL.

You are clearly out of touch with reality and your complaint is unwarranted based on your ignorance.

Is it good?
this is very similar to Park Hyung Sik's previous dramas. the role, the acting, and the style are very similar. if you enjoy his previous stuff and aren't tired of it you will enjoy this but if you didn't really like his previous dramas, then you won't be impressed by this one either.

Netflix doesn't have any good series (ENGLISH / NON - ENGLISH) all are flopping left and right except 1 or 2 so…
yes I think that is already what is happening right now. less and less companies are willing to work with netflix while larger competitors like Disney+ and Hulu are increasing.
i think we will probably have a temporary dry slump until things adjust and hopefully the higher quality dramas start coming out.

I didn't read your post before I posted mine as I wrote something similar, but exactly! Also I wouldn't classify this as "gossip" and just "entertainment news" because they and their agency made a public statement about it. this would be like saying a coverage about a celebrity who publicly announces to retire or do a different business altogether is "gossip." doesn't sound like an accurate label or how we would use the term "gossip" traditionally.

how is two popular actors welcoming a healthy baby into this shitty world not newsworthy? i dont get the bitterness…
Ah, but I didn't see you in the comment section complaining about the articles covering celebrity deaths or their relative deaths. If mournings are warranted then celebrations are also warranted for newsworthy articles. That there is common sense, not the cherrypicking b.s. that you're saying.

You, aurora, and op are the people that need reflection. learn to read the room instead of acting autistic (actually this is insulting to the autism community because they probably have more social awareness than you guys) and getting upset when people give you funny faces right after. this is a celebratory article about introducing a baby to the world and someone comments about shotgun weddings and starts mentioning single life for life mantra right after. do you really find it odd why people requesting you guys to keep it to yourselves? Jeez louise... I'm all for single people but don't preach your philosophy to the masses unless they ask for it and don't get shocked if after you throw shade, people reciprocate the same energy onto you. these are just common sense.

Netflix doesn't have any good series (ENGLISH / NON - ENGLISH) all are flopping left and right except 1 or 2 so…
it's because netflix is just another moneygrubbing corporation who own IP rights for all the well made shows and rarely give shares after their successes except for massive successes like Squid Game that Netflix depends on, and after the director publicly complained about it. All they do is throw money at production companies to make them a show and whether it is a major success or not, it doesn't matter because best case scenario they just get renewed and hired for a next season, which isn't impressive if you see what type of shows are getting repeated. then it's a rinse and repeat cycle. after the producers get the bag, what's their incentive to put all their heart and soul into a project if they will end up getting shafted once it succeeds? they will get the same reward for putting in minimal effort compared to a lot of effort. That's why shows like kingdom isn't getting a season 3. the foreign production companies have long caught on and are halfassing everything, constantly churning out dramas referencing webtoons and mangas which are basically half made films. koreans are smart. if netflix and hollywood use mass production formulas to hire their talents, then they will create films using mass production methods with some flair like the cool editing or visuals to distract the average viewer from its rotten core. the only people who suffer from all of this is the audience. kdramas in the past didn't have the best production but the writing was a tier above the garbage we get today.

I really liked their gradual introduction to the theme and the zombies but this kind of introduction felt too…
I think this is just your problem. The pacing was good. too many recent shows have been very fast paced and and extremely simple to appease for gen z and gen alpha's goldfish attention spans, but the well made shows take their time to explore and introduce every detail of the story to incorporate more nuance and complexity. The show also uses the atmospheric wide-shots frequently to juxtapose the idyllic periods with the zombified ones and to establish themes with color. Maybe you should watch All Of Us are Dead, Happiness, Duty After School, and shows like those if the pacing was an issue for you because they exist and they are a dime a dozen.
I agree with you about the movie though and it should have never been made.

Wdym? Mr. babyface can't have a good time?🤣🤣
jkjk, but nah, I didn't have expectations for him to not have sex. I think it's fine because he's an adult.
It was just sooo abrupt and weird. Like BOOM! In your face kind of moment and I was like what was the point of that? Apparently, the first thing you do after finding out that the guy you killed was a serial killer is beat your meat at home?
