Reading the synopsis above...about two people who come together to make the world a better place and find love in this journey. Wow...totally the type of drama I wanted these two to reunite in. T_T *happy tears

Its quite rare for her to work again with her past costars but I think LX and YZ are good enough friends to want to work together again. If they paired up again, I think its mainly because they wish to reunite. Out of all her costars, LX is also one she always wishes success for and HBDs. They are supportive of each other so I'm not completely surprised they would reunite one day. This day have come. :)

Yes, I am aware YZ has a wonderful resume with many great hits. My point is we can't solely depend on if she's in the project it will generate positive review, image is one thing, gripping story is another. Its what I find a problem with Chinese ent, image plays such a big role, when a celeb's image is tainted, that celeb is completely cancelled. So I rather she choose a project with good writing with newcomers or old colleagues. She's chosen wisely because she's been in the industry for so long but a hit is never a guaranteed no matter how famous you are.

Interesting, the director listed here is the same director who worked with LX in Meet Yourself...they would be working again if this is confirmed.

and @queentarg, thank goodness for clarifying. When you started naming ML2, ML3, all I could think was another love triangle with everyone falling for the FL. The synopsis above isn't very detailed so I have no idea what this story is about.

Holy smokes, I doubt I'd watch this now. LOL The idea of this potentially being like another LYF with MLs fighting over FL...uh, no thank you. Been there, done that. Now I don't want neither YZ or LX to be attached to this project.

Bruh, what is your definition of female centric dramas then? lol The FL screen time being 80 vs 50 in the drama? So you mean screen time, not female centric. MY is literally about the FL finding her happiness, how is that not female centric? Female centric can mean a story based mainly on the story of the FL, focus is the girl, not because one has more screen time. Besides, Crystal Liu is a veteran actress, no doubt she'd get first everything, didn't see LX complain about that. I also highly doubt LX chooses projects based on them being FL centric or not.

I would think his ex gf would have interfered with all his other projects right? But no one truly knows who LX ever dated. Also, why only now will the ex be a problem since he's rumored to reunite with YZ? Fans make total sense...lol LX have criticized disrespectful fans, I doubt he'd take his ex gf causing a problem on his projects lightly. He's known to be a very serious actor, even YZ knows this. lol

YZ's fans are mad because his ex gf will be a problem? LOL was his ex gf causing problems to the GGS production back then? That's confusing to even be angry about. LX's never been open about his gfs to anyone in the media or fans...its rare to catch him out on dates with girls too. Until a formal police investigation is initiated, I can't trust anything Weibo fans say about tax evasion lol. Also, its only a matter of time, LX and YZ team up again, people still like them together and they are really good friends in real life so I'm not super surprised if this drama is a go. True, LX's period dramas aren't the best, mainly due to styling. I wish they aired A Love Never Lost because I loved his look in that drama. If this was a republic era drama, I'd be even happier.

His last drama Meet Yourself was a female centric drama as well with Crystal Liu. I don't think he finds that female centric dramas are a problem.

Don't blame it on the pairing (any pairing really). They can't control what crazy fans do. In the end, producers coughing up money to make the projects have last say anyway. How anyone takes these sick fans seriously is beyond me. The ML hasn't even been confirmed yet so I don't know what the big deal is.

Its a gamble no matter if you have a rising actor or an established actor. Who knows if the actors in LYF will hit gold again after LYF. No one knows. Its best to trust the writers, not the actors or even YZ because not ALL her projects have been super popular. Story, production values, character development, etc...all this must be attracting to the viewers.

Sadly, no celebrity in China have normal fans, they all fight for things they shouldn't have the power to.

As a International fan, I hope it goes through and LX sets the record straight for his fans who are interfering. He's always been a straightforward actor with his dislikes in the industry.

I hope LX and YZ get to reunite in this! They are so supportive of each other so I don't think their fans fighting for first billing will affect the project, if its a go. LX's Yang Zi Laoshi is someone he looks up to as a good colleague. Perhaps its a good enough story for these two to finally reunite and LX choosing a period project after only being in modern projects. He didn't look too bad in Soul Snatcher. Its all based on character design and styling.
