You know what I hate the most?……. having to waiting a week just to see another episode 😭 told myself I’ll start this after at least half of the episodes are released. Went against my better judgement and watched. Now I got to wait for ep5😮💨
Can someone make an article and discussion about the weird bandwagon hate of some kdrama fans towards Netflix…
I’ve noticed those people only want the fluff and fun comfy aspect. They purposefully forget that dramas not only bring the feel good but also reflect the society it’s in and it’s environment. It’s inspired and if not based on the real lives of people in that specific country, place, society or environment. It allows a space for awareness to be created and certain discussion topics that couldn’t easily be brought up to be kickstarted in a conversation. I personally been watching kdramas for 13 years now and honestly I prefer every genre over romance. I like to see stuff that can make me cry, laugh, get upset etc…. Not saying romance won’t invoke that same feeling….but seeing something different for a change isn’t bad.
Yes kdramas have a tad bit of msg to it. But the realism is still there. I live legal dramas and they’ve helped me learn a lot about South Korea’s legal system and the issues within aside from research. Then we have the dramas that talk about disabilities (Extra Ordinary Attorney Woo Young Woo, Move to heaven, The Good Doctor etc…) and the awareness it brings to that it needs. And as of late the more realistic dramas or Alice of life as they’re called. Where the romance doesn’t always pan out and the situations were born into have great affect on us and our future. All of these are to inspire entertain and also have us take a lesson or two from them.
So the hatred those other “fans” bring are all useless. As it defeats the purpose of creative freedom to write as you please
I feel like this drama would have had a better reception if it aired 10 years ago, but today it's too old fashioned…
I think a lot of kdramas now are taking the old format back up again. Cause I e seen quite a few that’s been released this year and last year with the same formation and it seems that everyone loves it
