That’s what I noticed too. She has grit and a mouth and a half when it was just that witch but as soon as he stepped into the picture she began to waiver. Which makes no sense cause if we didn’t know her history with him, we’d think she still had a thing for him and is confused in how she feels. And also Yeom grandma maybe she’s a descendant of that shaman or something which will only make sense why Yeom said his mother was heading east where the sun rises and also where no ghost dares to go.
And yeah I do believe he may have told her a particular story that she just needs to remember. Cause we already got a story in her flashback that he told her about 2 sisters I think it was. Whose spirit got avenged or something like that and they were freed. I’m wondering did she remember that particular story in the vision and does it have a connection to the situation at hand. Cause after that he told her to remember that ghosts do exist

Questions I’m left with after ep2 Why did he intentionally give it to his daughter? How did he know the spirit will latch on to her? Why did professor Yeom mom die? And what exactly was she running from and what ritual did she do before she died that caused that spirit to come for her? Why did the spirit kill her dad too? Was it cause he was looking for a way to get rid of it? Did her grandmother get killed because she read the book and knew of its origin?
Her dad knew what this spirit is and that the shaman had to get entangled in it. The spirit is said to be juvenile but from the looks of it I gues s it’s the shaman instead. Since in the book hair accessory she was in it. Also in the flashback for professor Yeom we saw how his mom was before she took her son away. There was something off putting about how his gradmowas watching him and how his mom watched her. Especially in the hospital scene as well.
Going back to episode 1 the flashback she had of her dad and him reading her folklore stories….I wonder if there was something in particular he may have mentioned to her or a story he told her she’s just forgotten and could be a key to this spirit fiasco she has. Cause I’m a lot of other occult mystery shows I’ve watched like this usually that seems to be the case especially when the parent or whoever it is knows that something will happen down the line to cause the child being entangled in it. Also the young boy that talks to Yeom I think he’s a ghost and maybe a relative not sure wanna know their relationship and why he hasn’t crossed over yet
